Yes. I would advise highly against the Jays allowing him to pitch that many innings a season removed from only pitching 44 innings in total.

He threw over 200 in 2016. I think they'll be careful with pitch counts and throwing sessions, but I doubt they put any actual inning restrictions on him.

Exactly. Look at Stroman after he missed 5 months in 2015. In 2016 he had no innings limit. Same will probably happen with Sanchez if he stays healthy.

I doubt he gets to 180, they'll be careful.

Deck McGuire making a case early on to make the squad. Sweet!

4 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 5 K's

Finished last season in the pen with Cincy quite well.

What a weird play, lol. Anyhow Jays up 9-8.

Pearce finishes 1-2 with a BB... Yippee!

Jays up 10 -8 on a HBP

Score on an FC to home, 11-8

Jays score on a FC, 12 - 8

Whoops Jays up 13-8, missed something.

How did his stuff look? 5 k's is nice.

From the announcers, sharp over the games I've listened to(all appearances), especially the 12-6 CB... can't scout the radio, buddy. ;)

Re Sanchez pitching 180 innings: He’s a professional athlete with a profession training regiment and diet. If he doesn’t have an injury he should pitch.

All that is true, but even the fittest athlete in the world will blow up his arm if he abuses it. And this is a $100M arm.

He’s a MLB pitcher. Pitching is not abusing his arm.

I'm pretty much assuming Tulo is done being a contributor at this point. If he is the only injury and Travis Sanchez and others are healthy it's okay.

Thankfully the SS backup situation is much better

Agreed if we have a healthy Travis and Sanchez I'm thrilled

I'm really scared that Gift Ngoepe is going to get way too much playing time. Gibbons keeps saying the same things about him that he used to say about Goins.

Even if Tulo starts the season on the DL I’m not sure that Gift will make the 25 to open the season. They may stick with Travis, Solarte and Diaz, and go with 8 relievers in the short term.

Remember, you should never look a Gift Ngoepe in the mouth.

Pearce is injured.

Alford in to replace him.

So who celebrated Carrera’s DFA too soon /s

Tepera looked good, regardless of the walk. Located well, sitting at 93/94.

Gurriel ripped a lead off triple into the left centre field gap. He can fly..

Goddamn it Steve. Ugh.

It’s time to let it go man. Steve Pearce is never going to happen.
