That - along with strong numbers, would probably make Oh the most value reliever we have.

 

Nobody is going to give us s*** for Clippard, Axford or Loup.

 

True thats why I said if we get a legit prospect I would move Oh if we don't keep him.

I still have faith Donaldson will get hot when it matters most and will be a hot commodity at the deadline. Hopefully Happ stays healthy be was also bring in a nice return and lots of teams will want him. My biggest concerns is the bullpen not completely imploding and we can sell of the likes of Clippard, Axford, and Loup. Unless we get a legit prospect for Oh I don't think we should trade him because of his dirt cheap option.

 

I am still hopeful Morales may get hot enough to find a trade partner. #cuphalffull

Marty York doesn't know anything or have any contacts with anyone. How this season could possibly blamed on Gibby is beyond me. He's not the guy that tied a bunch of immovable contracts to this team, like Martin, Tulo, Morales or for the fact that he has to throw out s***** arms like Stroman, Sanchez, Garcia and Biagini.

 

No lie, I'll be pretty f***ing pissed off if they replace Gibby.

Three things that would piss me off immensely:

 

- a September call up for Vlad

- keeping JD then letting him walk

- firing Gibby mid season

 

They better not try to pin this on Gibby

Oh, and the one area that he can control (pitching changes) he's overachieved with this bullpen big time. It's essentially just a bunch of mid 30s cast offs and somehow it's the thing holding this team together.

 

Donaldson has been injured all year, Tulo will probably never play again, his backup got injured, his starting RF got injured, his best reliever decided it was a good idea to beat up his girlfriend, Travis is a shell of his former self and Martin blows dick to the point where Luke f***ing Maile is playing nearly every day and Morales has been one of the worst players in the game, yet again.

 

Oh yeah, and despite all this, there have been absolutely no rumours regarding a cancerous clubhouse.

 

If Shatkins can explain how any of those things are Gibby's fault, then sure, fire him. But he can't. And if he does fire him, he won't. Something something different direction.

I would think only the Vlad thing will happen and perhaps sooner. JD will be moved unless hes injured. Gibbons won't get fired during the season but probably a good chance he does in the off-season.

That's never going to happen. Nobody would want him if he was hitting .280 with 12 homeruns right now. He can only DH which limits him to 15 teams and not many teams are aggressively pursuing DH only bats with no speed. Plus one making big money when a superior player like Adam Lind who can play 1B just signed a minor league contract for the second time this year. We would have to eat his entire salary and we would still only be looking at a couple suitors none of which would give up anything.

 

Our best hope is Morales starts running into some balls most consistently.

Once Grichuk is back, he should play everyday in RF. And Teoscar in LF. If Morales takes even 1 AB away from them by forcing Granderson in LF, then Shatkins has lost it.

 

With Morales playing, he's either going to take development from Teoscar/Grichuk or he's going to play DH and nuke the trade value of Granderson/Pearce.

 

There is no outcome where playing Morales does not hurt us long term. The money is gone, but the damage can continue.

 

Granderson will be playing everyday against RHP until hes traded July 31st.

It's time for a change regardless of the reason imo

 

I don't get this. The best managers I've had have been the ones who were in the role for a long time.

While I think it will be a mistake to fire Gibby, lots of managers have been wrongly fired to change the dynamics of the team, or to cover the butts of the guys that put this team together

3/4 of his infield is broken, along with a backup in the infield. Gibby isn't the problem, injuries are. And the pitching staff.
