Cubs/Marlins has to be one of the worst offensive games I've seen.. 13th inning and it's still 1-1.. and both pens are already gassed from short starts yesterday.

Paging Iowa and New Orleans--both the Cubs and Marlins are going to need arms tomorrow to replenish some VERY drained bullpens. 14th inning and it's still 1-1..

Our old friend Drew Hutchison is pitching for Philly right now.. as Kapler has pretty much run out of arms.

lol... you're obsessed with team's BP usage. All team's go through it.

Brad Hand has given up 5 runs in the 9th, capped by a Braun 3-run jack with two outs and a 0-2 count. Brewers lead 8-6.

I saw the Braun homer, didn't know Hand allowed all 5 of the runs damn. You'd think he would have been out before or when he had runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out.

Must feel good?

I love Brad Hand. I'm considering making offers for him in every league, while this embarrassment is fresh in his current owner's minds.

Meh. Relievers are both volatile and ahem, pitchers. I don't plan to ever trade for a reliever.

What is wrong with the Dodgers? Like the Jays, the pitching's been fine... but they CAN NOT hit! They should be pummeling the Giants--instead they've been on a 18 inning scoreless streak, and already 0-2, having wasted starts from Kershaw and Wood.

Yes, but lots of free baseball and short starts = risk of blowups in later games because team's bullpens are woefully short.

Hutch got the win, BTW as the Phillies won 5-4.

They have a lot of talent and will have 2-3 streaks where they win 10-12+ games.

The Jays, as awful as they look now, will probably have a few mini winning streaks. Because they do have some talent. The baseball season is such a marathon, there are tons of ebbs and flows.

I really wanted to sign Hutch in the off-season to a MiLB deal. And Anderson. Would have been great, especially in light of Pannone's suspension.

Hutch strikes me as the kind of pitcher that potentially become a Chris Carpenter (or even Happ) who puts it all together later on in his career to become better than average.

Nothing is wrong with them. It's two games.

Yes, they'll just need starters to go a bit deeper than usual, as I said, all teams go through it. ;)

Yes, and yes.

However, the Dodgers are missing a huge piece in Justin Turner, a 5.8 WAR player in 2017 and constant threat to put up 4.0 WAR.. the lack of his bat or glove really handcuffs the Dodgers lineup at bat and on the field, especially after Forsythe 3 errors last night--a guy who's out of position at 3B.. It's a bigger loss for them than Tulo's injury for the Jays.

Also, Seager's hurting as well.

Yeah, but it's basically an equal loss to current Donaldson.

Garrett Cooper was forced to leave Friday's game against the Cubs after being hit by a pitch on his right wrist.

The departure was deemed precautionary. Cooper did have X-rays taken which revealed no structural damage. He's considered day-to-day with a right wrist contusion. Mar 30 - 8:40 PM
