Highly unlikely. I'd bet anyone quid on that, no way. I'd also bet they'd K more than that combo also... :P

Edit: I'd give 2-1 odds on a 50 dollar bet on the former.

What the hell? I'll take that bet, I don't think it'll happen either but they've got the best shot.

So they beat the record in '18, 2-1 for 50 bucks?

Edit: As do I for that matter, hence the 2-1 odds.

Yeah man, I'll chill on a bet for a decade?

I'll roll with you year to year?

I'm not a gambling dude. I just posed the question because I don't think that the record is too far out of reach for them. Stanton may have had his career year but a chance to mash in AL East cozy parks provides some hope for more taters to come. And Judge's rookie year probably won't be his best. But for them both to be absolute beasts during the same season would be so incredibly rare ... well not since Maris & Mantle.

That's fair, no worries man.

Yeah, you're on. Low risk, decent reward for me.

I'll bet someone 50$ that Stanton + Judge hit less than 100 Homers? Anyone interested?

Sheeit, that's tight and I could hedge, nahhhhhhh. They will.

I'll take 115 all day, everyday.

I don't think the projections accurately take into account the juiced balls though so I think it might be a little light.

JFL19 top secret projections say they will hit 96.5 ding dongs.

Is JFL19 projections fancy for...wild guess?

If there's such a thing as a Marlins fan they must be so pissed after knowing what the Giants were offering.

Seriously though

Ouch

Yankees are taking on more money but still...

I think JFL19 will win that bet and won't have to even sweat it for the year. (No I'm not betting some scrub on here with the same bet in December, I'll find a similar prop bet with a legitimate bookie in March when I have the most possible information)

Judge sophomore jinx and Stanton is due to miss 40 games. Someone is really going to put their faith in a guy who has over a 30% K rate in his young MLB career to carry his weight of 50 HR again? McGwire's 1987 season is a good parallel to where Judge could be headed, with 10% lower K-rate. There's a reason why good hitters > 6'5" 240 LBS are so few and far between in this game (as opposed to pitchers where you can find plenty of big guys).

If you give me 2 to 1 and 1000 min PA's, sure

See, this guy knows how to make a bet.

I'm just waiting for Greenwood to make another Stroman ERA bet with anyone that will come by and take it.

Given that Stanton has trouble staying healthy and Judge could very easily face the sophomore slump, that's not an unreasonable suggestion imo.

I'm getting more comfortable with the idea of trading Donaldson and gearing up for 2020 when Vlad and Bo are ready.

Lets not stop with Donaldson though.

I do hope the Yankees contacted Marcus Stroman prior to making this trade. #communication. On a serious note, that’s the AL East sown up for next 5 years then especially when the Yankees get Harper next year.

Zero chance Harper goes to the Yanks. And the Yanks after this move are projected to be 4th in the AL. I like the move for them but the impact for them is less than several other teams. But it does allow them to make other moves which could improve the team to that next level

I was pretty surprised he didn't make the BP top 20 Yankee prospects.
