Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 I find the Stros far more unlikable than the Yankees tbh. They are really kinda like the ALW version of the Red Sox. Got a bunch of neat home grown players and then pissed away the farm on s***** trades.

The major guy they got this year thru trade were McCann and Verlander. Reddick, Beltran, Morton were from pretty reasonable deals. Peacock was a steal. The rest of their big guys were either home grown talent or made from good trades a while back. With the exception of trading for Giles, but even that trade isn't looking that bad right now. I can understand your dislike of them if you said they intentionally tanked to get high picks, then I can see that POV. Just like Northof49 did back in the day. God rest his soul.
Yippy Verified Member Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 astros offense is going cold at the wrong time exactly like the indians did. Yankees seem to be peaking at the right time. Sometimes its all about timing
Yippy Verified Member Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 severeno will outpitch verlander tonight
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Altuve first pitch swinging....guy is a beast! Let's go Stros!
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Verlander is the f***ING boss. Reminds me of playoff Josh Beckett back in the day.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Girardi gotta be thinking, "maybe we should think about adding Green into the rotation 2018". This kid has been money this post season. Little known fact, he was originally drafted by the Jays back in 2010.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 His stuff plays up much, much better in relief though. He's got two pitches. You're right, he was originally a starter when he came up in 2016 but didn't stick. Needs to work some off speed stuff into the repertoire.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Looks like Judge almost hit the roof with that!
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Goddamn, Altuve is such a stud. He had no business hitting that low pitch out.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Sanchez dropped the ball! E on Gregorius but that was catchable.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Screw this tune up inning. May need 6 outs from Giles in game 7. Get him out of there!
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Morton vs CC? Woof. Advantage: Yankees Winner: Houston
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Woohoo the Big Bear goes Yard!
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Thats unreal. Perfect freaking throw.
Yippy Verified Member Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Houstons offense has underachieved all series. Suprised Yankees pushed this to 7 games.
