I get that it’s the offseason and the team sucked this year so traffic is going to be slower, but nobody is going to join when they can’t log in without seeing dick pill adds from Russian spam bots.

Most of them don't post right away, I'd say there's at least 15-20 signing up everyday. It's crazy... we've been asking for the delayed process for ages.

I've been keeping my eye on various software options just in case something happens to this forum, but it would take a fair amount of work to set up correctly and be able to self-support itself, so I have no intention of trying to do it unless this goes out.

What would be required? I have the resources to do it, but it would be a MLB forum with all teams as sub forums. I have looking vbulletin and a few other options. Phpbb, vanilla and some other open sources.

Adding some new mods would help. North literally doesn't even post here anymore and I'm not sure if Chappy does either. Deadpool and KK are also barely around anymore. I don't even really count admin as a mod since he only shows up to yell at us when we're disparaging o2's moderating. I'm not criticizing any of them for not being here, because if they don't have time, that's obviously fine, but why not add a couple of more active people? There are definitely some decent options. Abom is possibly the nicest, most rational person here, so I think he'd be a good choice. Org is another one.

For the record, I'm online almost every day, I just don't post too much at the moment. I clean up spam threads when I see 'em.

I sent a PM to Admin a while back asking him to look at this thread. I haven't heard back from him. I think TheHurl is the only mod who knows how to get in touch with him IRL and Admin is the only one who could potentially do anything about this. It's highly doubtful Admin's going to just stumble upon this discussion and feel compelled to act. You're better off PMing Admin directly or maybe taking your complaints to Hurl to take to Admin.
