Bautista's bat is visibly slower this season. I look forward to the expanded rosters in September....just to see someone else.

 

Hopefully Alford is healthy and back into form by then or sooner

He is probably playing through 2 or 3 injuries

 

Why though? its not like we're exactly competing and hes not really helping.

He just jammed his thumb yesterday and I expect that his calf is still bothering him and will be a year long thing again...not sure why his knee swelled a couple of weeks back though

Martin, Smoak, Osuna, Barnes, Joe Smith, Stroman and Tepera are the only guys that have been full value this season. The rest have been just.....meh.

At least Morales was able to advance the runner. But he should have crushed that hanger.

 

Smoak is the only one the opposing pitchers seem concerned about right now.

I dont blame this teams performance on Gibbons but perhaps it is time for a change.....just to wake these guys up. Change is needed and damn soon.

The defense behind him was terrible, and then he just completely lost the strike zone.

 

I havent been watching the game, but interested to know how many times did Pat and Buck make excuses for Sanchez, like "This is pretty much spring training for him, so you would expect his command to be rusty" or "he needs time to get back into mid-season form" ?

I guess it didn't really matter that we missed Sale, they're all Sale.

 

Right now they could probably throw a high school guy out there and they'd dominate us.
