Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 Bunting sucks right lol
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 It's been all downhill for JD ever since he started dating that yoga vegan curly haired Canadian chick. Needs to take that face guard off his helmet for sure
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Bunting sucks right lol Who do we have that can bunt for basehits?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 True but just because we can go for it, should we? Are we just delaying the inevitable? The next couple of years will be the true test of the Shatkins era in which they can put their "own" fingerprint on the team. We have some decent youth in the rotation, and probably enough young players coming up in the next few years that a full rebuild likely isn't necessary. We have the budget to fill in the holes with free agency.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Red Sox laughing at the Jays They probably aren't alone in that.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Bunt, bunt... Blast! Puff Puff Pass.........
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Needs to take that face guard off his helmet for sure There's tons of guys that use that guard throughout the MLB... it doesn't impede your eyesight. He's simply scuffling.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 They probably aren't alone in that. If I was Biagini I would have drilled the next batter
wk680 Verified Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Red Sox laughing at the Jays I would definitely make the next batter wear one after that sequence. Those bunts after pounding the Jays on Canada Day were just BS. ETA: I see you were posting the same thing before I did.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 Who do we have that can bunt for basehits? Our lineup sucks...just thought it was a good job by the Red Sox using the bunt
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 this era of Jays post season baseball is whimpering to an ugly end. I just hope it doesn't take another 20+ years to get back to the playoffs again

What the hell is wrong with playing to win
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 2, 2017 Author Posted July 2, 2017 It won't matter how close we are to a wild card if the team continues to lack all emotion/heart/will to win
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Figures... Smoak hit that hard, nice play.
wk680 Verified Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 It was a 1 run game with two otherwise bad hitters at the plate. What the hell is wrong with playing to win When you have already won the first 2 games of series in the other teams house and including blowing them out on Canada Day, you don't need to use tricks to try to win. It's not like we have Cy Young out there on the mound.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Who do we have that can bunt for basehits? Exactly. Bunting for hits occasionally with that speed makes a lot of sense. Sac bunts are mostly dumb and we don't do that well either.
leaffie Verified Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 This team has played like this all year. Even if they should luck into a second wildcard, does anyone have any hope that they can all of a sudden play well.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 It won't matter how close we are to a wild card if the team continues to lack all emotion/heart/will to win this was pretty much what we said after the game I went to last month. it's not just the losing, it's the fact that most of the team is playing like losers. Just didn't bring any energy to the game. It's like they are out of ideas of what to do and they have given up
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 It won't matter how close we are to a wild card if the team continues to lack all emotion/heart/will to win I don't think they lack will to win. Basically the same team that was only 1 of 3 to make post season last 2 years. We are just another year older slower and playing like s***.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
