SpectralGas Verified Member Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Hi guys, I am new, and I looked around but not sure what the answer is and found this board. What is the deal with Pompey? It feels like LF has been a sore spot all year, hee cannot be worse then what we have rolled out there with, and Pearce seems to always get hurt. Does management think he is not ready still and have no confidence in him?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Pompey was removed from his first rehab game with Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday after suffering an apparent leg injury, Amy Moritz of The Buffalo News reports. Rehabbing from a concussion suffered in the World Baseball Classic, Sunday's event may cause a setback in his rehab timeline. Buffalo manager Bobby Meacham thought something was wrong when he saw Pompey "flexing his knee" after an awkward strikeout in the second inning. "We had to take him out. I'm not sure exactly, but he felt something with his leg," Meacham said. Pompey was not available to speak to the media after the game.

Melvin Verified Member Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Holy f*** this guy cannot catch a break He'll never be healthy. Guy is more fragile than Saunders.
WONDERBAT Verified Member Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 He's an Org guy passed on the depth charters by Dwight Schrute and Anthony Alford. This is his legacy as a Blue Jay. We'll feel bad next year when he's DFA and STL, LAA, OAK, CLE or TB pick him up.
Governator Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 He'll never be healthy. Guy is more fragile than Saunders. This is his first year he's had any significant injuries and a concussion doesn't making you fragile. If he starts hitting the DL with strained obliques, cracked ribs, sprained ankles, hamstrings, aka Jose Reyes, then we'll call him fragile. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

He was fragile mentally first, now he's becoming the physical embodiment of fragility. He's finished.

SpectralGas Verified Member Posted June 5, 2017 Author Posted June 5, 2017 Damn, let's hope Pearce comes back and manages to stay healthy, LF is a liability right now.
