Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Well that's the worst case scenario.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Has Maile had a base hit or a walk since his call up?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Risky af but at least he got the job done. Come on Maile, put it into play bud. Just a little flyball to score the run. Well he got the "little flyball" part right lol
wk680 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Normally I would have been OK with the bunt, but with .036 hitting Maile coming up ? Are they f***ing kidding ?!
baubau Verified Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Well that's the worst case scenario. Mhm.. pretty sure Malie flying out and then Travis getting thrown out at the plate is a lot worse.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Normally I would have been OK with the bunt, but with .036 hitting Maile coming up ? Are they f***ing kidding ?! Exactly, ridiculous really. Especially with 2 strikes, not to mention Goins has a solid K% this year he puts plenty of balls in play as it is. Runner is already on 2nd, swing the f***ing bat.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 We deserved no runs that inning.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Having maile hit most games was gonna catch up to the team at some point.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Someone get the freeze frame of Tim Leiper kissing travis on the helmet.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Terrible hitting...I mean seriously bad, probably the 20th (2 times today) runner at 3rd less than 2 outs this year we can't score
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Did we really have to pull Sanchez?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Did we really have to pull Sanchez? Yes he's not built up. Edit: Plus he was bleeding earlier in the game. Had some stressful innings. We should be thrilled he gave us 5. He could have been ejected.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Terrible hitting...I mean seriously bad, probably the 20th (2 times today) runner at 3rd less than 2 outs this year we can't score Well sacrificing Goins to move him to 3rd with Maile coming up we went from runner on 2nd none out to runner on 3rd 2 out practically by choice. Ridiculous.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 That ball hit right down the line and sliced towards the low wall, so it never had a chance to roll into the corner. If Travis read that, he should have been backing up the throw to second base, as a double cut wasn't necessary to home nor a cut off needed to second. It would have been a quick decision on Travis' part, so a tough play to react to. He played it correctly...can't assume it will slice into the wall where Bautista can get it...could have easily bounced and rolled to the wall

Ridiculous. Yeah...I was hoping they would safety squeeze or try another double steal when Pillar got to first

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 For what? I don't think they can play if bleeding all over the ball. Think Indians and the drone cut.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 lol there was a guy passing out in the stands on that shot
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 I don't think they can play if bleeding all over the ball. Think Indians and the drone cut. Correct...Sanchez wasn't bleeding that bad was he? I thought it was more like a few dabs here and there
wk680 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Another example of why the assigning of W/L to pitchers is the most useless stat in baseball - Sanchez on the hook to take the loss in a 1-0 game on an unearned run. Yesterday it was Leone getting a win after recording just one out.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Holy s***. Exit velo on that please,
JoJo Parker Dunedin Blue Jays - A SS On Tuesday, Parker was just 1-for-5, but the one hit was his first professional home run. Explore JoJo Parker News >
