Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 Sunday, May 7: Toronto Blue Jays at Tampa Bay Rays game preview Biagini is 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA this season, but his 14 appearances have all been out of the bullpen for a total of 18 2/3 innings. He threw a season-high 41 pitches in his last outing but hasn’t gone longer than two innings in any of his appearances. Toronto’s bullpen only had to pitch two innings Saturday, so they’ll be relatively well-equipped to handle a larger role in Sunday’s series finale. The Rays answer with Cobb, who is 2-2 with a 3.86 ERA in six starts this season, bouncing back nicely from Tommy John surgery iin 2015. Cobb hasn’t faced Toronto this year but is 3-2 for his career with a 3.86 ERA against the Jays.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 We need to find a way to win today to carry momentum back home and the return of Donaldson and Tulo
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 We need to find a way to win today to carry momentum back home and the return of Donaldson and Tulo Plus Sanchez too if he comes through his rehab start OK
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Bautista needs to sit at this point for a game or 2 to get his head right...3 straight 3-0 counts...3 Ks. This time on a huge hanging curveball right down the middle
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Man all the veterans and the plate don't look like veterans... what ever happened to protecting with 2 strikes?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Man all the veterans and the plate don't look like veterans... what ever happened to protecting with 2 strikes? I think the reason is pretty simple: they're getting fooled.
BillBucknorslegs Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Man, watching the Jays this year is like watching a monkey try to hump a football. Lead off single and nothing to show for it yet again.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 13 pitch first inning for Joe - can't ask for more than that!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 13 pitch first inning for Joe - can't ask for more than that! Pitched well...might be the time to convert him to a starter full time...Liriano to the pen?
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Pitched well...might be the time to convert him to a starter full time...Liriano to the pen? Even if Biagini sticks as a starter, it's way too early to talk about moving someone to the pen with Happ and Sanchez not healthy.
BillBucknorslegs Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 f***ing typical of this season. Smoak smashed the ball and lined out right to the 1B, Pearce misses a home run by a foot or so. When are we going to catch a break?
el duque Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Travis continues to struggle he has the lowest AVG of the team
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Even if Biagini sticks as a starter, it's way too early to talk about moving someone to the pen with Happ and Sanchez not healthy. Was meaning when everyone was back
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Was meaning when everyone was back Yeah but you're basing that thought on less than 2 innings' work of Biagini as a starter.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 With that said, Biagini looks great.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 13 pitch first inning for Joe - can't ask for more than that! And again...
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Biagini finally gets into the rotation. Let the games begin.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Yeah but you're basing that thought on less than 2 innings' work of Biagini as a starter. Was basing it more on that our Minor League depth is nonexistent, Liriano can't pitch to 2 batters without walking 1, Biagini wants to be a starter and was one in the minors, his stuff is pretty great, and in today's game he is showing more promise than expected.
intrigid Verified Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Pat Tabler is saying that Vlad Jr probably won't start his career in the infield because he has a "corner outfield type of bat". WTF is he talking about?

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Travis is a seriously s***** defender.
