Effit Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Great game. Thought it was shaping up to be another nightmare at the Trop, thankfully they flipped the script.

bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Thought this one was over after tuning in in the 5th with Archer only at 50 pitches, boy was I wrong!
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Zaun is right... that was a really bone headed move by Cash to leave Archer in to face Morales
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Zaun is right... that was a really bone headed move by Cash to leave Archer in to face Morales I mean, he has a pretty good point, but Chris Archer is really good. Unless he's gassed, which one could argue that he was, the reliever that was coming in was probably not going to be much better.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 Geez... what a great answer by Pillar, *HIT THE BALL HARD IS MY APPROACH*, who knew?

His point was Morales owns him, not third time through the order, he was wrong. And yes, Archer's a boss.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 (edited) Finally hit double digit wins. Fun Fact: Jays have won 2 WS when starting 12-24... just saying. Edit: Sorry made the PS twice and won the WS once. Edited May 6, 2017 by Spanky99
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Perhaps it's time to elevate Joe Smith to the Grilli role as setup? I know Gibby is loyal but...
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Fun Fact: Jays have won 2 WS when starting 12-24... just saying. Is that actually true?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 Is that actually true? Yes. Sorry, check my edit.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Yes. Sorry, check my edit. That's crazy
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Spanky is drunk or trolling. 1989 was the well known 12-24 start year. Jays had good Aprils in both 1992 and 1993.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Geez... what a great answer by Pillar, *HIT THE BALL HARD IS MY APPROACH*, who knew? Someone on this board would disagree with Pillar's statement as the reason for the hot start.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2017 Author Posted May 6, 2017 I hope you're counting 2017 as one of those years. Nope, fack... I read this years back. It had to be 2 post-season clubs. '15 was close, too.
