Why wouldn't they be able to? If the team can get an out you're allowed to run the bases.

I'm pretty sure it is unless it was a groundball that was already going foul. If a runner tries to distract the fielder or interferes with them while trying to play a foul ball then they will most likely be called out.

Very well pitched game, I was listening to the radio on my drive home, apparently Sanchez had minor surgery on his finger nail to alleviate pressure on his blister or something of that nature and his nail split(today), a separate issue from the blister, so 2017... *sighs*
