You can pretty much say whatever you want around here and not get banned unless you direct personal insults at a mod. It's really not easy to get banned, but kudos to spanky for getting it done on a continual basis.

Had a back and forth with o2 about Gary calling him a pedo. O2 was arguing that Spanky was overreacting and things get said way worse than what Gary said on a daily basis. Spanky then insulted o2 and o2 gave him a week ban.

 

So we're not allowed to argue with O2 otherwise we'll get banned? Is he from North Korea with that attitude?

Week long bans for Spanky are too long. His main hobby is mixing booze with pills and getting on this board and talking baseball. Yeah he goes too far toward the end of the night sometimes but he's like the drunk at the bar that you throw out knowing full well that you'll welcome him back the next day. I don't mean this as any disrespect to Spanky either. I've been talking baseball with him for nearly 15 years. He's got his own unique account here. I never mind seeing his name in red because he probably deserved it but not seeing him here at all for a week is too much. #FreeSpanky

I remember getting banned and thought it was horseshit and I was pretty pissed off getting banned for a stupid reason (I think it was about Jose Reyes and his domestic issues and I got banned for defending him saying he's innocent until proven guilty)

 

But then I remember this is the interwebs and to not take it too seriously

BigCecil was voted Nicest Poster. He serves as a moral barometer of sorts. If he's telling someone to f*** off that someone is asking for a ban.

Gary is constantly trolling others and begging for attention. He's already been permanently banned under other accounts (gbill) so he's in no position to tell our most respected posters to go f*** themselves. There's also a big difference between saying f*** off to someone trolling you (see below) and go f*** yourself as a response.

The revolution is coming. We must stand up against o2's tyranny. Now that baseball is on, it's prime season for o2's favourite pastime: banning people without cause.

 

Spanky got a week long ban because someone called him a pedo and none of the other mods interrupted a WEEK long ban on one of our very favourite and cherished members. That's wrong.

 

Vote for me for head moderator and these days are in the past.

Great, our house of moderators is rife with nepotism.

 

Spanky is a gem. I have no idea why people can't just laugh off his shenanigans. He legitimately started a fairly successful chant of "YANKEES SUCK FARTS *CLAP CLAP CLAP*" at a real game. You can't ban a guy with such high comedic value.
