Home plate umpiring is getting worse by the year. It's never been this bad.

Oh, it's always been atrocious. And the problem has a really easy fix that's already in place, but "TRADITION!", same reason we're watching pitchers hit, which is about as exciting as watching 5 year olds play soccer.

Would be really nice if we didn't blow the f***ing lead after an amazing play.

it's not just behind the plate. it's been s*** across the entire diamond in all of baseball.

AND they're missing calls on replays, which is just baffling.

that one was confusing me, but then I figured out why.. they are taking the most incompetent umpires off the field and putting them in the replay room.

they have video tracking and stats for every ump. it's about time that the league held umps accountable and if they are making too many mistakes they should be demoted to minors until they get it right or fired, shot, whatever gets them out of the game

Hrmm, I didn't know that you could get more incompetent than the ones they have out on the field. Maybe they could find an ump for pee-wee softball and send him to the video room.

it's true... they are using old farts who can't physically do their job on the diamond to make the replay calls. Why don't they teach video experts the rules and let them decide instead of having dinosaurs who hate computers, HR ball and night games
