Martinez is pretty far down the list, though. Scherzer, Cueto, Bumgarner, Strasburg, Lester, etc. are all ahead of him talent wise. I thought he was the boldest pick.

 

Anything can happen though, I suppose.

Yeah fair point, but I do think Cy Young is more likely than MVP to go to someone who isn't a top 5 player. I don't think many people would have predicted Porcello winning in the AL last year for example.

True enough, and it's just a fun guessing game on the internet so I'm not trying to scold you or anything.

 

I think you're right in that no one saw Porcello taking it (or Hendricks being so close either in the NL) so it's a fair point. I do find it interesting that I've noticed how varied the AL guesses have been compared to the NL when you realize how kinda homogenous the AL is. Top talent is in the NL, though, is insane. Kershaw, Scherzer, Thor, Lester, Bumgarner, Arrieta, Hendricks, Cueto, Strasburg, and even up and coming dudes like Glasgow and Urias. Crazy.

I think the East will be pretty fun this year. Yankees have a pretty exciting young team these days, I think the Sox, Jays and Yanks will all make the playoffs.
