Oberholtzer was always likely to be waived, but he's probably put the nail in the coffin with his two gas can appearances.

House back out for the 9th. House is getting BABIP'd to death... two weak infield singles and a pop up over the 2nd baseman's head that should've been caught.

Shafer in.

Really keeps sounding like Tellez should be up relatively soon in the first month or 2. Also, Pompey should really be considered to be the starting LF if he keeps playing like this for the next month...still a lot of Spring left

Bautista just missed slamming a HR in his first AB... he hit it so hard it ended up a long single. Me likey... a healthy Bats!

I'm actually suprised how well he has started the Spring. A lot better than in years past. Makes me think it was smart to resign him...maybe

Maybe? It was a steal.

Not to rain on your parade, but it's still far too early to say that Bautista is "back". Spring Training shouldn't be enough to change your opinion, though I would say it was a smart signing regardless, even if he bombs ST (as long as he remains healthy).

That's why I added the maybe

wut?

Wut...because I asked if it would still be a steal...or the 100 games part. 3 of the past 5 years he has played 92, 118, and 116 games...with 2 150+ game years

so with the last 5 year sample size you chose (to include 2 of his most injured years), he still played on average in 127 games. Including an average of 141 in the last 3 years. Calling 100 games the "recent norm" for him seems a little unjust dont you think?
