Gary Verified Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 My sources also tell me it's a torn calf muscle and JD's availability to start the season is very much in jeopardy. I'm hearing 6-8 weeks.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 LOL, just as you guys called it. Now it's a couple of weeks.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Twitter tells me last year it was the left calf muscle that was the problem, this year it's the right. Then there's this So a bit more than mild. Hoepfully the reasoning for the crutches and staying off of it so it heals completely this time unlike the nagging injury he had last season

TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 I'm really not sure what the big deal is.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Ink Pedro Alvarez How does that move help our situation at all
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 I'm glad it's February 19th and not April!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Well technically a tear is a strain and if he is limping around as badly as they were saying that would hold some truth to it. I just hate how the org. always hides injuries. Everytime, Gibby "Yeah its just a mild injury thing we think he will be out a day or 2 then back on his feet" *3 weeks pass* Like that was exactly the Tulo injury last year.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I never get why teams are so shady with their medical evaluations and injuries.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I never get why teams are so shady with their medical evaluations and injuries. My guess is the fear of people stop buying tickets. If they announce Donaldson has a calf tear then everyone freaks out and thinks the season is over.
CrackerJack Verified Member Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I never get why teams are so shady with their medical evaluations and injuries. maybe (in a few cases) they're afraid to publicly declare the extent of their desperation on the trade market?
