He's pissed that Mexico got eliminated. All the discussion about arcane tie breaker rules and their interpretations kind of obscures how much that Osuna blown save cost them.

The WBC is lucky that all of these close games are happening. If there wasn't a whole lot of on field entertainment, it would be a clusterf***.

Lots of players are are commenting negatively about things like security, amenities, the rules, the organization... yeesh.

From a Canadian perspective, Ernie Whitt immediately whining about not having enough talent came off pretty negatively.

The WBC is also lucky that Sal Perez apparently avoided major injury.

having a player injured by his backup could have been one of the greatest stories though

The finals are in LA, right?

Imagine a Netherlands/Puerto Rico final. what a snooze

Why? Both teams are loaded with young exciting talent. Correa/Lindor/Baez vs. Bogaerts/Simmons/Schoop/Profar is fun. The pitching won't really be there but that's beside the point.

Safe or out, Baez is a bozo for that.

I don't understand the point of that tag outside of being an idiot.

It seems like it was instinctual -- like the play was so routine and he is so good at it that, it was second nature and muscle memory. I don't think it was show boating.

You can pack as many stars on the field, but no one is going to watch those two in LA

I wish Whitt would have mentioned how Canada got screwed by those tie breaker rules in 2006 when Canada got eliminated because of them and the USA advanced despite losing to them and having the same record during their pool play.

Going into this years tournament you can see Canada was not going to win a game and that proved to be true.

You mean like Devo White catching fly balls at his belly button?

The runner was dead to rights. Baez rubbed it in the runners face.

Also questioning the call from the manager to attempt the steal in the first place
