Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 In the first 3 games of the series in Colorado, the Nats have 30 runs, 36 hits, and Turner, Harper, Zimmerman and Murphy are now hitting between .326 and .432. Trea Turner alone has 8 hits in the series. Man how I'd love us to have a series at Coors Field to wake up our bats! In the final game of the series Nats with just the 19 hits in a 16-5 win. Trea Turner's 11 hits in the 4 game series is more than any of Travis, Pearce or Goins have managed all season.

They are dead last in HR with only 11 and 28th in XBH. Even the lowly Jays have more XBH than Boston. Jays and Sox are now tied for 26th with 78 runs scored. How crazy would it be if they continue to scuffle and the division comes down to O's versus Yankees !?

wk680 Verified Member Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Red Sox offense is just underperforming. They have plenty of talent. No doubt. But you could say the same about the Jays to some extent. Although the Jays 'under-performing talent' have more question marks about how well they rebound.

He was acting like it was a easy fly ball.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Epic collapse for the O's... from a 9-1 lead to losing the game 14-11 to the Yankees.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Yankees look real Are they for real? I can't decide
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Ohhh MadBum, thou art so dumb. Honestly, if it were to happen to anyone, I'm glad it was someone like Bumgarner. He's one of my least favourite players in the game.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Yankees look real Are they for real? I can't decide I think they are very real. They are like the 2014 or 2015 Cubs IMO. We're in for some lean years with the Sox and Yankees back at the top.

We're in for some lean years with the Sox and Yankees back at the top. Yankees a good possibility to be on top, but don't assume the Sox will be on top--they're a Ortiz-level big bat short of even being considered a realistic contender now, and there are massive holes on the Sox roster, especially at 3B, and C.. and there's the inevitable decline of Pedroia, which already has started.. and the rotation's mediocre after Sale and there's no certainty what Price will bring when healthy.. In addition, Boston faces major problems long term thanks to Dombrowski burning down the farm to get Sale, Thornburg(injured), and others.. they have one legit prospect right now in Devers, who is a long ways from being major league ready, and may not stay at 3B..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 They'll get Harper and maybe Machado. We might see them break the 2001 Mariners win total. O's and Nats will do everything to resign those two players--don't assume they'll be in Yankees uniforms. Plus, there's the luxury tax rules to consider as well.. plus the Yanks have other needs as well, especially when they could lose all the veterans in the starting rotation (Tanaka, Sabathia, Pineda) this offseason.. leaving nothing but Severino and a bunch of inexperienced kids.. which will force the Yankees to open the checkbook THIS offseason.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 The verdict is in--Judge just ruled Jayson Aquino guilty of crappy pitching, as he just hit his 10th HR of the season! Early MVP candidate? Yanks up 12-2...
