Stroman or Sanchez?

  1. 1. Stroman or Sanchez?

I don't think it was obvious. Sanchez was a year younger, and looked dominant in 2016, while Stroman looked like quality, reliable #2. The blister issues have completely derailed Sanchez's season, so we have no idea if the skill improvements would have carried over.

I just feel that Stromans stuff is a lot more elite compared to Sanchez who only seems to have a ++ Fastball. I feel like Stroman is victim to a lot of bad pitch selection in certain situations, and not to mention there was that whole 'pitch to contact' fiasco with stroman.

Yeah. It's good to see that he's mostly ventured away from that philosophy.

King is doing his best to be voted dumbest poster of the year.

Stroman projects as a career reliever. Sanchez and it isn't even close.

AA should have pulled the trigger on the Carasco for Stroman trade.

Another idiotic thread. Maybe we should start another called 'Travis or Goins'. Time for your first thread deletion Governator.

If you had to choose one or the other, who would you keep moving forward?

Awfully shortsighted bump. I would still choose Stroman regardless but people are really getting their panties in a knot over one bad start in 7 degrees weather, pitching on the road with perhaps too much rest.

You're wrong. Sanchez has been COMPLETE ASS since the start of 2017.

What you talking about bro? 2017 was plagued by blisters, he never had a chance to get going. And for this year he hasn't pitched in a year. Brutal bad post if serious.

And what is the reason for suck this season?

Steamer has Sanchez as nothing more than a back of the rotation guy at this point (4.59 FIP)

I updated my post with that reason. FIP thinks everyone is average.

King's question is who would you keep going forward.

Stroman is the easy answer. He has the upside to significantly improve on 2016 and likely will. He's also more durable IMO.

Sanchez' 2016 is close to what we can expect from him at his peak. He had some health concerns last season, kept tightly under wraps.

Given Sanchez' 2016 he will return a significant haul, more than Stroman would, and at the same time Stroman is a good choice to have better career.

Easy answer.

Also, dumb question.

Gruber just racking up the L's this year:

- Goins sitting at -0.7 fWAR

- Kevin Pillar still can't hit and took a step back defensively

- Stroman looking like a reliable 3-4 win pitcher

- Biagini pitching to a 5.6 ERA as a starter, and certainly not better than Stroman

lol!

lol... he still thinks he's right, you kidding me?

You all got your asses handed to you regarding Goins for two and a half seasons and you all know it.

Pillar was looking great for the first two months of the season, but then he turned back into Kevin Pillar.

I was totally wrong regarding Biagini.

The Goins success story alone should have you guys sucking your own dicks for another decade.
