Had money on Zalatoris to win this week and he got it done

 

Nice, was happy for the kid, the bigger the stage, the better he plays it seems.

Yeah, he and Cameron Young seem to be cut from the same cloth. If it's a major or big-time event, they're probably going to finish T2 lol.

 

I was glad to see him finally get that elusive first win out of the way. He's got all the talent in the world and it wouldn't surprise me to see him rattle off another in the next couple of events - maybe even the Tour Championship.

 

Believe it or not, Will Zalatoris has been the number one iron player on Tour for the entire 2022 season.

Okay, so this is pretty wild, but I had money on Cantlay for the win and Conners for a top 5.

 

I also finished 3rd in a golf DFS contest on Bet365.

 

That's 3 winners in a row for me. All of this after what was essentially a full season of bad bets and a few bad beats. Golf betting is so weird!

LIV Golf is honestly really fun. I hope the two entities manage to smooth things over and that we get to see these guys compete in majors together. It's absurd that they aren't getting OWGR points.

WZ shoots a 77 today to leave me a shot short, that was painful on the 18th. Oof...

 

I guess easy to say in hindsight, but really, he should've laid up and given himself his iron of choice for bird - it's always the smart play on the 18th. The hero shot, unless absolutely sublime, is almost always a par or worse sentence because you're in trouble if you miss to the left, right, front, or back of that green.

Maybe the best non-major event of the entire PGA season. I trust all golf fans are tuned in for the WMPO this weekend.

 

There are over 200,000 spectators on the grounds today alone. Hole 16, the famous Colosseum hole, was the setting for this unbelievable moment here last year and, who knows, maybe it happens again.
