HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I swear I thought Chapman balked there
baubau Verified Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Davis was never this good with the jays Indeed... I still have nightmares about this swing:
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Painting at 102. Good luck lol.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 May not have been a strike in that AB, but once it's that speed the ump is just guessing too
ComeTogether Verified Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 What an arm. Get some insurance runs. Win one at Wrigley.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Davis was never this good with the jays If you weren't some bandwagon troll, you would know that this was exactly how Davis was with the Blue Jays
baubau Verified Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 May not have been a strike in that AB Hey, hey you. You said Russell will be a top 5 shortstop in 5 years? I say NAY! How we doing this bet? What metric or metrics will we use to judge the top 5?
ComeTogether Verified Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 His 105.1 mph in 2010 was a MLB record. NYY gave him and Miller up? wtf
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I've heard enough of Eddie Vedder on the radio for a lifetime and now he's ruining baseball You're an idiot. No one needs to hear your opinion.

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 His 105.1 mph in 2010 was a MLB record. NYY gave him and Miller up? wtf They got a pretty serious haul in return...that the AL east is going to have to deal with in the coming years.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Hey, hey you. You said Russell will be a top 5 shortstop in 5 years? I say NAY! How we doing this bet? What metric or metrics will we use to judge the top 5? 4 win player in his second year as a 22 year old with improving walk, strikeout and power numbers isn't good enough for you?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 You see, with a swing like that I just can't bring myself to comprehend Heyward's struggles at the plate.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Jason Heyward's best AB of the year
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I just think Chapman hitting is idiotic. But I've learned to never question Maddon.
baubau Verified Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 4 win player in his second year as a 22 year old with improving walk, strikeout and power numbers isn't good enough for you? He said top 5. I am going to dispute that. I didn't say he wasn't good. Not disputing that.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 4 win player in his second year as a 22 year old with improving walk, strikeout and power numbers isn't good enough for you? Take the bet. Whatever it is?
baubau Verified Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Take the bet. Whatever it is? Damn straight! Man em up Spank.

Yes, I heard. But with all the big salary guys retiring, and Yanks payroll, they can just get hitters like Edwin and Bautista. A few top starters and they are set. Untouchable from 6-9 innings. Chapman, Betances, Miller.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I've heard enough of Eddie Vedder on the radio for a lifetime and now he's ruining baseball Ban this piece of s***.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 4 win player in his second year as a 22 year old with improving walk, strikeout and power numbers isn't good enough for you? I actually said top 5 "hitting" Shortstop within 5 years. I stand by my statement.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I actually said top 5 "hitting" Shortstop within 5 years. I stand by my statement. I could see this actually.

A few top starters and they are set. Untouchable from 6-9 innings. Chapman, Betances, Miller. Or they can get under the luxury tax. Reset their penalty number and save about $200 Million when they bring in the Kershaw, Machado and Harper in 2018.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Damn straight! Man em up Spank. I'm good with whatever terms.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Heyward stealing - trying to induce a wild throw (likely the only way he'll score with Chapman hitting). Really smart move.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Addy Russell was a top 5 fWAR SS player? I don't get the argument? I just walked into it, but...
JoJo Parker Dunedin Blue Jays - A SS On Tuesday, Parker was just 1-for-5, but the one hit was his first professional home run. Explore JoJo Parker News >
