Is this team more frustrating to watch than the Raptors?

 

From what I understand the Raptors had a pretty bad problem with closing games out this year?

 

Regardless, this series has been an embarrassment for the Jays so far. It's one thing to struggle in a Kluber-Miller-Allen set, but the Blue Jays couldn't even put together a decent inning in a bullpen game in which the starter had to be removed in the first inning. That's pathetic from every possible angle.

Yes, when you put it that way, sure. Baseball odds are much better because of the variance. Long season + short series, are on baseball's side. BB is stronger expectancy than even, hockey, the so called hardest Trophy to win. Yes it's frustrating, but the Birds might not have this chance for awhile. Raptors will make the PS, plus win a series or 2. The Jays haven't this luxury... what they have done is pretty f***ing epic.

 

16 teams don't make the playoffs, in ball. The grind is nowhere near the NHL, and the NBA has elite teams... the NFL is about as close as you can compare to the MLB. Even then injuries in the NFL and NHL can make or break a contender.

Saw a short documentary about him and he cheated on his wife, they stayed together. But he was dealing with a lot, I think he hadn't told anyone he got raped as a kid at that time

Guess dickey had some major issues. Buck and pat talked about it all the time. Was raped by a female babysitter as a 8 year old and then again by a teenage boy out in the backwoods. Had a tough life

But you have to wonder if all the adversity he faced also made him strong enough to basically become a completely different pitcher in his 20s

He lost his signing bonus and had a insurance policy on his arm for a million he could of cashed out and given up on baseball but he stuck it out and learned to knuckle. People were calling him damaged goods and nobody knew about the rape thing. Definitely changed my perspective on him a bit seeing that
