OsunaMatata Verified Member Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I'll chant Let's Go Blue Jays... but I am going to be respectful of being in another city. Will cheers other Jays fans, high five them, but not tell anyone from Cleveland they suck or anything like that. Respect.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Just got hosed on a hotel room, $390 with parking for one night but there was nothing remotely as close to Progressive for that cheap.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Want to join me and Spanky for a beer? Let me know where you guys are meeting up. Im most likely heading down by myself. I have to leave after the Saturday game as I work on Sunday..

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Is there not airBNB downtown?
ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Which hotel? Holiday Inn Express Cleveland Downtown
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Is there not airBNB downtown? Not much of a selection even back on Tuesday when I was looking. And the ones that were available were pretty expensive, around $250 per night. Unless you just booked a private room.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Holiday Inn Express Cleveland Downtown Jonah Keri is staying at the same hotel I'm staying at apparently. Same with Shi Davidi. Wonder if the Jays are staying there as well haha.

We followed the Leafs bus for about an hour hoping to stay at the same place as them but we lost the bus. If you or anyone wants to grab food and a drink on Friday before the game lmk. BJMB meet up lol

Also I hate asking players for autographs if they aren't at the stadium.

BJMB meet up lol I went to that game also, was walking downtown London and we bumped into Leetch and his wife, they told me about the game as I was wearing my Clark jersey, I didn't even know they were there, lol. First time I saw liquor sold at a hockey game(Wembley Arena), I was 20 at the time. Also I won't be in Cleveland, that's just some retarded joke, wish I were, though...
deslexia Verified Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Holiday Inn Express Cleveland Downtown Hey fellas, stalking Tribe fan here. I've stayed at the Holiday Inn DT the last 2 Home Openers, it's about a 8-10 minute walk to the stadium, not bad at all. For first time Jays fans, I'd recommend checking out The Corner bar in RF, as well some of the local food stands out there. You won't be disappointed. Also, depending on what time you get there, entering the stadium from Gate D (behind home plate) is the best way to go. We got there 1.5 hours for ALDS Games 1 and 2 and walked right up. HUGE lines when you enter from the LF or CF gates. I was at the last series vs. you guys in August, you Jays travel well! Met some great fans at the hotel bar, hopefully you guys don't travel TOO well tonight, slightly annoying to hear opposing teams fans haha. You guys were all respectful, so that counts for something. I think it's going to be a good series, you guys are definitely the favorites, but this CLE team has fought and battled all year. I don't think this series will be any different. Go Tribe!
ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Im looking for a single for tonights game. Should I just wait until a few hours before a buy from stubhub? There doesnt seem to be much selling and Im looking for face value or better.

Clark was sitting in the back seat the whole time.

After dealing with so many trashy Orioles and Rangers fans, it's nice to see a respectable fanbase come around for a chat. Personally I kinda like Cleveland as a team. Obviously I want the Jays to win, but if we have to lose to a team, I wouldn't mind losing to Cleveland (as much). That said, I'm making the road trip to Cleveland tomorrow and we'll be painting that stadium blue if I have anything to say about it!

Prices have been coming down over the last day or so.

When I went to a Tribe game in August the scalpers were pretty cool, mostly around on bikes outside the RF and LF gates, obviously playoffs are tough but if you get there after first pitch I don't see why you wouldn't be able to talk them down a bit and get face value, have a blast dude, I will be cheering from Europe tonight for all my Jays fans there!
Mittens87 Verified Member Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 Saw a post on a Indians message board saying don't sell blue jays fans tickets, were horrible etc etc Nice to be playing a team without all the bitterness of Texas and especially the Baltimore fans

I'm glad I didn't buy anything yesterday, I'll scoop up a single close to the field shortly. They will come down in price for Tuesday and Wednesday I think
