BigBulgeBlueBird Verified Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Might be a tight game. Hope the bats don't go quiet at home. The weakness remains the bullpen. Yeah, that's my concern as well. Outside of the home runs against Darvish, the bats were relatively quiet in game 2 and the Rangers were squaring up a lot of fastballs. In fairness though, no one on our team has a fastball like Sanchez, with that amount of power and movement. So hopefully it ties them up and jams them all night.
Art Vandelay Verified Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 So your going, right? No. http://www.instantgentleman.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/1iAdE5WBoxJnquZ.jpg It's not too bad, though. It reminds me of when I was a kid, going to my cousins for Thanksgiving dinner, watching the ALCS. I remember us all watching Alomar's home run against Eckersley after dinner. American's have their Thanksgivings with football, I had mine with baseball.

FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted October 9, 2016 Author Posted October 9, 2016 Dude, I passed on my sister's dinner, just to watch the game at home... have at it. Yet, I'll see her tomorrow at the entire family dinner. My basement will be full of me while all of the family 'celebrates' upstairs.

Anything can happen tonight obviously, but I'm not to worried. They need to sweep us guys. Pffftttt...
ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Just picked up a single right by the Texas dugout, hopefully everyone is talking s*** to Odor so I can join in lol

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 I told them I listed my ticket on StubHub (didn't lol) and I've been saying since its only a single ticket it'll be tough to sell (which is somewhat true). Are you going, sell it to me, bro?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 2-0 up facing Colby Lewis and yet I'm still nervous.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Guessing one of Sanchez fastballs slips when odor is up tonite I hope they use Tepera for that with Odors last AB when we're leading big.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Have a pair in 530 row 7 for $350 if anyone is looking to go to the game last minute.

Yet, I'll see her tomorrow at the entire family dinner. I'm going to dinner but leaving right after to catch the UP Express from Weston and Lawrence either the 6:53 train or 7:08 train, so I'd get downtown in time. They live around there and it's only a 14 min ride, so worse case scenario I miss the first inning because of the security lines at the gates.

If you have a Flex Pack or Season Ticket Card go to gate 8 and say your tickets are on the card. There is never any line at all.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Didn't sell on StubHub? Not yet. I find for 500 Level its better off to do it privately because of all the fees for both parties.

I find 500 level seats are tough to sell on StubHub, unless it's like the first couple of rows around the infield. Anything high up or away from the infield is a tough sell. As a buyer, you're already paying a high price for a ticket, so why not spend the extra $50-60 more to get a better seat in the 100 or 200 level outfield? If I just want to get into the building and stand down in the 100 level concourse, then I'll buy any 500 level seat that is the cheapest.

ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 How much did that cost you, if you don't mind? $250 US + fees + exchange = $400 cdn. I made $150 profit on my seats in the 500lvl. The seat is in 119L row 8 (which is the actual 6th row), I didnt realize how close it is to their dugout until I looked at the seating plan. Pricy but worth it imo for a game like this.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 If I had tickets, and couldn't make it... I'd sell them to a friend or member on here at cost or less. It's about passion for the Birds man. These prices on Stubhub give me no reason to give someone that much cash, especially concerning my disability income.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 FYI: avoid the line-ups by going to Gate 15 if your coming from the west side. The most Ive ever waited at that gate was the wild card game and it was only 5 minutes.

The game is in demand, especially the lower level. I sold my friend my 500lvl pair for cost to the wildcard game thinking I could wait last minute and scoop up behind home plate. I got screwed. There was more of a demand for the wild card game than this one and prices starting rising several hours before.

The most Ive ever waited at that gate was the wild card game and it was only 5 minutes. I'd be coming from Union. Never took the UP Express before, so hopefully there are no delays getting down. Supposed to be only 1 stop on the way before Union. Gate 5/6 are always ridiculous, though I find it always looks worse then what the wait time actually is. Likely 10-15 min wait at most.

I would have sold my ticket for face value to any frequent poster on here that I know. But yeah, Stubhub is ridiculous. Even from the seller, they take a huge cut.

If your coming from Union gate 15 might be fine. Go west along front, up the stairs where the Baton Rouge is, across the bridge, make a right and across to gate 15. I usually show up 10 min before first pitch and most of the time there is no wait. You would just need to go down the 2 ramps to the 100lvl and walk from 140 to 136...
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 People list luxury suite tickets on StubHub? So how would that work? You'd be in a suite with people that are complete strangers?
