RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 There's no way we can lose this game. I agree with this assessment
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Jays 172 - Sox 0 Smoak will still be 0 for 4
mikebel111 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 So we dont know who called the meeting but looks like Tulo was the one who was being the leader of the meeting.

Sounds like Grilli was his usual self as well, which is a good thing. It worked today. Tomorrow is another must win in a series of must wins. Gotta find a way.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 "Sounds"? Did you guys see some source with leaks or something? "While details were vague afterwards – even who called the meeting was unclear but Troy Tulowitzki seems to have been a driving force – matters such as the expectations on each player, execution and playing a team game were sure to have come up." From what I can gather on Sportsnet, some of the vets (at least Tulo and Edwin, but not Martin) had a discussion and decided to call a meeting.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Toronto fans are so pathetic. You could get tickets for like 20 bucks on stubhub.
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Toronto fans are so pathetic. You could get tickets for like 20 bucks on stubhub. ???
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 ??? As soon as they have a bad stretch fans abandon ship. Yesterday you could get 1st row in the outfield for like $30 each. Also looks like tomorrow's attendance might not even break 30K. Tons of seats available. Yet we have to hear the Wilner and Barry Davis groad about the attendance of other teams as though Toronto has the best fans in the world.

After exchange and Stub Hub fees your looking at $30 for the worst seat in the stadium. Add in some $12 beer, $8 soda and a $10 hot dog. Now it's $50 a person and that's before parking, fuel, bus fare etc. It's the food and beverage prices that piss people off not ticket prices anyway.

You can bring your own food and drinks into the stadium... As long as its not alcohol.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I thought you were only allowed to bring in 1 600ml bottle or something like that. Can't be over 750ML I think. But why would you be bringing a Liter bottle anyway?
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 BB this complaint of yours, based on what you see on stub hub is a bit much. I'm not saying our fans are great, but certainly better than some other cities. The O's can't even fill half their stadium. The Yanks have come on strong and field a bunch of young studs and can't fill their stadium.

I just don't like how the media trash other fans and claim Toronto fans are so great yet there are morons doing the wave when the Jays are getting blown out.

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Toronto fans are so pathetic. You could get tickets for like 20 bucks on stubhub. Why do hate the fanbase for some reason??? From what I see the Stubhub prices are the same are usual and we sold out the last 2 games and still lead the entire league in attendance so I don't know why you're giving the fans so much grief. We're not like Clevland or Tampa where we don't show when the teams winning. And before you say "we only show because we have a good team" I'll just point you to the fact that the Yankees attendance dropped so much when they sold a couple of players (and got better) and Boston a year before they won the World Series where their sold out streak ended. Both those teams are historically and recently decorated and as soon as they sucked people stopped going, so this is normal

They come to the ballpark to have fun, so while I too think it's stupid, I don't feel embarrassed by it as you feel. Every player that talks about Toronto the past couple of years talks about it like a fortress. Don't forget the havoc the fans did against Texas, I'd argue the fans single handedly set up that inning by creating commotion and distracting the Rangers players. No other way to explain Andrus being so distracted. Give us a break, we're #1 in attendance for f***s sake lol
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Link? Every time the Jays go to Tampa all you hear about is how few fans are at the stadium..

As soon as there is a slight moment of adversity its the whole "this team doesn't have what it takes" blah blah blah. Toronto has some great fans don't get me wrong but there a ton of terrible fans as well more so that it seems for other teams.
