Seanie Verified Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Look at the record with the roof closed Seriously hope jk
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Anyone else feel like this year has been more frustrating than anything. Feels like the Jays have consistently been pretty good - but never actually reaching their real potential This has actually been the case. Long stretches of offensive underperformance. No prolonged stretches of winning, though the team has been very, very solid since mid-May. No stretches of overall poorness in that period. The team's record is probably exactly as good as it should be given what's been done. When's the last time they even lost three or more in a row? I think that sweep v Tampa. Which was immediately before the slow turnaround. Pretty remarkable IMO.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 It's not raining anymore open the roof
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Seriously hope jk Do you want to fight me?

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Better yet, why Cecil in a game within reach? Biagini was doing fine. Gibby never learns. If we cant get one LHH out (and not a great one at that) in that situation we are going nowhere. I didn't mind that call. Cecil didn't get it done. I didn't agree with Benoit. That was a critical AB in the game and he should have just went to Grilli and I wouldn't have bitched if he brought in Osuna. Little point saving them if Trout gets a hit.

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 There seems to be no jump in the team right now. Was hoping that come back win against the Yankees would ignite something, but that isn't happening.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 It's not on the manager at all........ lol Really? Whose job is it to make sure they don't sleep walk through a series like this? It's east to collectively take a team for granted while being in the comforts of home. It's up to the manager to maintain an edge, which the players didn't show.

Lefty on lefty all day! Dem matchups!

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Actually, they're 2 games below there Pythagorean record. Accurate enough give or take some dumb luck. I just mean the team has been quietly performing like a first place team despite never doing the wrecking ball act from last year.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Angels are pretty good at aiming for every hole.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Screw this crap. No one is forcing you to watch.

JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 this team is so mentally weak. No fight at all when they get down.

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Donaldson needs the calendar to flip to September, badly.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 No one is forcing you to watch. Havoc your avatar is an accurate representation of me during most of this game lol

I just mean the team has been quietly performing like a first place team despite never doing the wrecking ball act from last year. We got spoiled in 2015 with two 11 game winning streaks. Totally dominant. This team has been frustratingly consistent and good. Sometimes I have no idea how we are in 1st place. But its really been the rotation.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 No one is forcing you to watch. That would be torture
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 holy f*** this is really annoying
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 this team is so mentally weak. No fight at all when they get down. They've came back and won plenty of games this year, they've also let too many teams come back and beat em, it'll even out in the end or better, team's too good.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 God forbid Benoit isn't available tomorrow
