GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Incoming low ball over to GD in the LOD. hmu
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 hmu Offer* Holy s***. lol. And sent you something.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Fresh arm carousel. After Buck and Tabby fapped so much he was a "strike thrower" I knew he was doomed. He proceeded to walk 2. Those guys are the kiss of death. Shame though. I thought he could contribute some value.

He'll be back in September for sure, we'll get to see more then at least.
admin Site Manager Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 John "Close game throw our newest guy in" Gibbons, strikes again.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Well Barnes is no ace reliever like Scott Feldman
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 My money is on Montero coming up
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 My money is on Montero coming up I wouldn't gamble if I were you
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 I wouldn't gamble if I were you I'm actually great in terms of gambling....that's why I didn't actually put money on this...but if I would, it would be Montero.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Seriously? I thought he was going to be a #2-3 with all the hype over this board. Then you weren't really reading what people were saying. No one was suggesting he was going to light the world on fire. He earned an opportunity with his great minor league numbers and people just wanted to see him get his chance.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 He had one bad outing out of 3, it happens. He'll be back in September for sure, we'll get to see more then at least. He will be back in Sept. I was actually impressed with him despite the bad outing and surprised he was sent down last night. The Rays were havin a night. They put up great ABs all game.
Governator Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 They should bring back Schultz or Loup

I was actually impressed with him despite the bad outing and surprised he was sent down last night. The Rays were havin a night. They put up great ABs all game. No one should be surprised when a reliever with options gets sent down no matter how well he is pitching. That's just the nature of the game. The Dodgers yo-yoed Yimi Garcia last year and he was putting together a 10.8 K/9, 6.80 K/BB season. Sometimes, you do it because you just have a roster crunch and sometimes it's just a way to rotate through some fresh arms. Edited August 10, 2016 by KingKat
admin Site Manager Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Well Barnes is our third best reliever so why not. He does it with everyone is the point. And I'd still ease him in and put him in lower risk situations to see if he can 'stick' first.

Bringing in Barnes directly after an Estrada start was a mistake imo. They are both primarily FB/CH pitchers.Estrada is probably the best FB/CH pitchers in the league so bringing any reliever in with a similar repertoire directly after him is setting them up for failure. Watching Gibbons find more and more creative ways to lose ballgames is getting harder to do by the day.

It took them more than half a season to call a guy up that was dominating AAA and he was at a position the Jays were really struggling at. They continued to call up garbage pitchers over him. I don't think it is surprising they sent him down it's more worrying as to when they will actually call him up seeing as there is still 20 days till Sept.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 hmu Sent you a better offer.
