thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 WTF was Schowalter thinking leaving McFarland in after walking Martin and Carrerra???? It's about time they take advantage of opportunities like that.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Starting to think Travis will be optioned when Tulo comes back lol. No way
nextyear Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 When we had 3 you said we needed at least 2 more. So I was right. At least 2 means 2 or more. But who knows maybe the Orioles will only get 4 and even 2 would have won it.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Happ seems more confident with Martin catching.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Alright, he got us through 7, that should be the end of the line for Happ. He most definitely should not pitch to Machado, Davis or Trumbo for a 4th time.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Well done Happ. Aside from a few bad pitches, a nice performance
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 No way If he doesn't start hitting. They might just play Barney at second base. Would not shock me at all.
Belliss101 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Starting to think Travis will be optioned when Tulo comes back lol. Uh Why?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Well done Happ. Aside from a few bad pitches, a nice performance Pretty nice outing by xFIP, he got a bit unlucky with the homers.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Buck is such a smart manager. Bring in your lefty ground ball pitcher to face the righty fly ball hitters!
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Pretty nice outing by xFIP, he got a bit unlucky with the homers. Ball stayed up for one inning, been solid otherwise!!
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Buck is such a smart manager. Bring in your lefty ground ball pitcher to face the righty fly ball hitters! 2 big dummies managing today
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Another pleasant game from zeke and barney.. they keep on producing
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 If he doesn't start hitting. They might just play Barney at second base. Would not shock me at all. I could see Gibbons riding the hot bat in Barney for a while, but Shatkins are not demoting Travis.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Pretty nice outing by xFIP, he got a bit unlucky with the homers. How are you unlucky when giving up a HR?
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 that ball was not scorched tabby you f***ing dumbass
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Barney is for real? The defense is! The hitting... probably not.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Travis is really getting close.
nextyear Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Barney is certainly hitting better than Travis right now so it will be tough to justify sitting Barney instead of Travis when Tulowitzki comes back. But who knows when Tulowitzki will be back.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Three sac flies in the past two innings? Nice approach.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 How are you unlucky when giving up a HR? The average pitcher gives up homers at around a 10.5 HR/FB%, a bit higher this year as the league average is 12.6%, this is accounted for in xFIP. Happ's HR/FB rate today was 37.5%, which should be expected to regress.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I could see Gibbons riding the hot bat in Barney for a while, but Shatkins are not demoting Travis. I hope he would if hes sitting on the bench.

But who knows when Tulowitzki will be back. By that logic if Travis starts hitting like the signs are starting to point to his timing is almost back...then Tulo sits and Barney and Travis play SS and 2nd?
nextyear Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Monday? Doesn't he still have calf soreness?
