This is the entire problem with this offense. Kansas City last year showed just stay away from the middle of the plate and our hitters will never adjust...teams just keep using that approach and we still try and pull everything

They've actually had some good games recently where they had the other approach and weren't just trying to go yard.

4 walks through 4 and the offense can't even move em over... Lazy fly ball after lazy fly ball. Jays need some more OBP type guys.

Saunders looking totally over matched too. I know he's been better this season, but I don't feel too comfortable having him facing lefties on a consistent basis.

I think I just have to accept that the offense has indeed regressed all at once. It really seems to be past the point of being "too early" now.

It's one thing to have a couple core players go south when they age but the entire lineup has seemingly gone south. It's so bizarre, you'd think there would be one or two that perform at the level they did last year and continue that, but nope.

Saunders' splits are neutral, he's hitting lefties and righties equally well. And his splits have been neutral over his career.

This is just a working draft but how about something like " Who the f*** would want to sit with you dusty knob gobblers?"

I approve...solid retort!

I know people sour on this, but maybe it is time to change the hitting coach? An entire team slumping far under their norms has to mean something? Chalking it up to a coincidence this far into the season just seems weird.

Victor Martinez I like you bro but you're really killing the pitch count.

Jays scored 4.333 runs per game against the Royals

This team needs to find a way to generate some runs without the home run. Comerica is huge

Or just let Pillar crush one.

Yeah. They weren't shutting us down. Our problem that series was bad pitching and having guys like Escobar (2nd worst OPS among all qualified hitters last year) going off against us.

5 walks and we can not make runs

Working on the one run win record.

Escobar and Perez hit everything no matter where it was located. It was frustrating.

As did Zobrist.
