Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 ^ From page 19 of this thread. Always love your pragmatic optimism Spank. Just caught last half the gm on PVR as I couldn't finish earlier. Wow. What a game! Great heart by the Jays today. So nice to see Martin contributing like he can. Wasn't pretty for either team but a W is a W. Get em tomorrow! Haha... as far as I know, there's 27 outs in a game, the first is just as simple as a 9th. Baseball... what a game!

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 just rewatched the Travis walk off I cringed when I saw him twist and turn and jump. You want to tear your ACL Travis? Cut that s*** out man
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 You wouldn't like my life at the moment, lets put it that way. Spanky, wanna hit up a patio tonight?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Spanky, wanna hit up a patio tonight? The Monk?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I've forgotten more than you'll ever know, Jonn. Edit: Funny thing is, I keep learning, as you don't. You took that as a disrespect but I didn't mean to be disrespectful at all lol.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 You took that as a disrespect but I didn't mean to be disrespectful at all lol. Hmm... Jays won, all's good. Come to the Monk tonight, meet me and Deadpool.

CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 So wtf was wrong with Stro? Missed the game.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 So wtf was wrong with Stro? Missed the game. Couldn't locate the fastball...didn't throw many offspeed pitches, threw way too many fastballs in 0-2 counts. Needs a change in game plan at this point. Have to adjust to hitters adjustments.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Hmm... Jays won, all's good. Come to the Monk tonight, meet me and Deadpool. Where is the Monk?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Where is the Monk? In the Shwa... one of the better establishments, it's called The Thirsty Monk.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 In the Shwa... one of the better establishments, it's called The Thirsty Monk. Ah yes I've been there. Went to Durham College 15 yrs ago. They use to have like 20 cent wing nights.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 That was the best game I've ever been to, and I was at ALCS Game 3 last year. Holy shite. +1. Today was my sons first Blue Jays game. Unbelievable game. One I'll never forget.

How many times were we down to last strike with Smoak and Martin? Reminded me of the TEX-STL WS game with a lot lower stakes.
43211234 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Today was my first game of the season. Probably the hottest game I've been too and got burned pretty good in a spot on my neck that I apparently missed with the sunscreen. The degenerates in front of us left with two outs in the ninth.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Hmm... Jays won, all's good. Come to the Monk tonight, meet me and Deadpool. Nothing on this planet could get me to go to the Thirsty Monk.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Some thoughts on the game I didn't post: -Good job by the pen to not allow the bleeding to continue. My girlfriend and I were making fun of Storen when he came out, then even more on the double. Then he bore down and cleaned it up with 2 Ks. Great job. How does the game end if that runner scores? Credit to Storen. -Zeke's SB and extra base was a game changer. A small thing, but he did exactly what was expected. -Russ is turning it around? Looks like it. -Stro was terrible. Batting practice everywhere. He's lucky he didn't end up surrendering 10. The liner DP was huge after the 0-2 HR from Bogaerts. -It's nice to see slop favour the Jays for once. Passed balls and infield singles did it. -Smoak, Martin, and Travis all made s*** happen off 2-strike Kimbrel pitches. 2 out of 3 were solid contact, but credit to Travis' dribbler that he didn't flail for a K like so many Jays have early in the year.
FergusonJenkins88 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 (edited) Anyone else notice Donaldson shove Dickey at the end of the walk off scrum? Looked like he was just clearing a path for Travis, but gave me a chuckle nonetheless. *Just read that this was already mentioned earlier. Sigh... Edited May 29, 2016 by FergusonJenkins88 Already mentioned
