bnnguy Verified Member Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I have tix for this Sunday vs. Boston. How early do I need to be there to get one of the (special!) bobbleheads? Two hours before game time still enough, or not anymore? (especially for the most sought-after freebies?)
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Usually people don't start camping out until Friday evening so you have a few hours.
bnnguy Verified Member Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 ??? Trying to be funny? If so pretty dumb, bud.
bnnguy Verified Member Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 Tough crowd! As I said, I'm wondering if people know if its changed so far this season.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Tough crowd! As I said, I'm wondering if people know if its changed so far this season. of course. We have a lot more season ticket holders and bandwagoners. Game is at 1:00, go early between 10 and 11. edit: actually, line up earlier, they just announced this: http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/tor/ticketing/40th_anniversary_celebration_games.jsp

Cyborg Verified Member Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 9 AM should do the trick. 11 is probably too late. 10 - 10:30 is cutting it close.

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Method #1 for ensuring a packed crowd at 81 home games: Spend $150M+ on payroll and hope the 25 man roster remains competitive throughout the year. Method #2 for ensuring a packed crowd at 81 home games: Spend $40M in payroll on minimum wage scrubs and finish dead last, but give away 40K dolls every game that cost $5 to make AND guarantee there will be a long line up in front of the ball park hours before start time every game. That's $16M worth of dolls for a total of $56M. Jeffrey Loria are you reading this?

Could do one for every player on the 25 man! Bump payroll up to $50-$60M so you can be somewhat competitive. Step 3: Profit

I, for one, would not want to miss out on Dave McKay bobblehead day.

UKBlueJaysFan Verified Member Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 We queued up at 9am for the Jose Reyes bobble head a couple of seasons ago. This one I'd be there at 8.

intrigid Verified Member Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I got the Edwin bobblehead in 2013 against the Yankees on a Sunday (nearly sold out crowd I think). Got there around 10:30 I believe and there were quite a few remaining. But that was 3 years ago so take it for what it's worth.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Sooo i'm going to the game tomorrow and i give 0 f***s about a bobblehead. My question is if i show up like 15 mins before the game will the lines be clear and will i be able to get to my seat before first pitch? Or do i need to arrive sooner?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I don't really understand this bobblehead. Why are Bautista, Delgado and Wells on the same one?
