G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 That's what the Blue Jays need from the bullpen. Blue Jays still have life. Only Osuna is allowed to relieve from now on LOL
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Pretty confident the hitting will find its groove, SP has been great, now can they please fix the BP? You got your closer, that's the tough part. How hard can it really be to find two more guys? Storen and Cecil were supposed to be those guys. Its hard to make trades for any good players before July
baloojayz Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Did you watch the two games or read some box scores and are now ready to make some expert opinions Watched all the games, not an expert, but you don't have to be to know the BJ bullpen sucks. It's not like the bullpen's problem is inherited runners and starting an inning fresh will do the trick. The BP is responsible for 13 losses second to only Cincinnati. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=rel&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2016&month=0&season1=2016&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=3,d Just for comparison, the Royals are about 0.500 as well and their bp is only on the hook for 2 losses.

Its hard to make trades for any good players before July This is the last yr for contention hopes though, you'd think they'd do something esp. when it looks like BP pieces are the only big hole. Last yr this time we had holes EVERYWHERE.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Storen and Cecil were supposed to be those guys. Its hard to make trades for any good players before July Sanchez going to BP is the plan?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Only Osuna is allowed to relieve from now on LOL and then the jays can paddle their canoe up s*** creek with Osuna's arm after it falls off in late June.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 and then the jays can paddle their canoe up s*** creek with Osuna's arm after it falls off in late June. Obviously I was being facetious
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Sanchez going to BP is the plan? f*** though, if he keeps pitching this well with no signs of wear, that's gonna be a tough one Gibby was at least smart to avoid letting everyone know how many innings they have in mind
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Obviously I was being facetious I know... but Osuna is carrying a very heavy load. I'm worried he wont last the season the way he is being used. Someone has to step up to help and soon or they need to make a move. Need someone who can just get outs without letting inherited runners score. Losing way too many games that should be money.

Gibby now starting to use him for over an inning sometimes too He needs another arm he can trust. Badly.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 22, 2016 Author Posted May 22, 2016 Blue Jays Win!!!!!!! Osuna Matata!!!!!!!!!!
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 f*** though, if he keeps pitching this well with no signs of wear, that's gonna be a tough one Gibby was at least smart to avoid letting everyone know how many innings they have in mind Understood, but the drop off in value to the team is mitigated by the bullpen results to date. A dominant set up guy is what the bullpen needs Hutch to the rotation, Sanchez to bullpen post AS break

A dominant set up guy is what the bullpen needs Hutch to the rotation, Sanchez to bullpen post AS break Good point. And that sounds good as long as Hutch is decent Sanchez is the guy Gibby needs for the 7th or 8th (mixed with GOOD Cecil depending on the L/R situation)
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Yeah, the good Cecil back and Sanchez would sure help stabilize the BP...
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Blue Jays Win!!!!!!! Osuna Matata!!!!!!!!!! Osuna Matata is not sticking
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Osuna Matata is not sticking This dude might disagree...

King Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Did you drive down there? Its like a 15 hour drive no? Ya and about 7 from the peg, there were lots of people from Sask though which is obviously a longer drive. Could tell by all the roughrider jerseys.. lol
