Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 How does Paul Molitor keep going. He must be thinking of resigning. He doesnt need the $
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Sano is a big ass RF. He hasn't looked as bad as people said he is atleast not tonight.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Against a AAA batting lineup Which is why we look at season stats 8k/9, 3BB/9, and 3.20 FIP is #2 starter numbers
Yorkshire Blue Jay Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 For Sanchez starts I pretty much only look at walks and Ks, especially walks That's a shame because it is far too simplistic, but it follows the narrative that if he has 4 or more walks in a start then he is wild. For example, he has the same number of 4 plus walk starts as Arrieta who many would rightly claim is one of the best in the game.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 wtf is the point of bringing Pillar in for 1 inning?
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Maybe he does. Ball players didn't make as much during his days. $13M for 3 years with Jays..... over his career he must have pulled in $25M or thereabouts He did have a cocaine addiction so there's that
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 wtf is the point of bringing Pillar in for 1 inning? Dunno but I like getting Bautista out of the game for rest.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 wtf is the point of bringing Pillar in for 1 inning? maybe the idea wasn't to rest Pillar, but to give Zeke some reps
nextyear Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Interesting that after the fight in Arlington, the Texas Rangers lost 3 straight to the Oakland A's, and Toronto lost 3 straight to Tampa. Texas won tonight and Toronto will have won 2 after tonight. Thankfully I can watch the games again, I had to stop for a couple of games.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Maybe he still does and he's working to support his addiction? never know, he does look rough

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Dunno but I like getting Bautista out of the game for rest. Having Pillar warm up to go play 1 inning seems to not be a benefit to Bautista playing an extra 3 outs.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Pretty much everyone that needed to have a good day at the plate did tonight, good stuff. Another nice start for Sanchez too.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Another good start for the rotation and the offense rolling tonight. Great win birds...lets keep it going tomorrow.
nextyear Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Gibbons' job looks safe for a few more weeks. He made the right decision by pinch hitting Paredes for Goins, although I thought it was the obvious choice to make.

Rovert Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 if they win tomorrow thats called a Winning Steak !!!!!!!!!!!!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 warm up? he played CF, he didn't come in to close. lol you think guys just go straight from the bench to CF? Position players need to warm up and stretch etc... otherwise you strain a muscle and get put on the DL.

I'm sure he got a heads up once they added runs in the 6th that he might get into the game. A manager is not going to just turn and say you're in as they are taking the field.
