"He's 30 years old...and he's spent 39 years in prison"

K, Buck. I know that Bush is a piece of s***, but even that is just a little bit physically impossible.

How so? Does he actually want this guy to fail?

Basically implying that his redemption doesn't deserve to be talked about. The way I see it, he did some super s***** things, served his time, and now he's in the bigs. Good for him.

f*** yeah, Matt Bush. Super happy for him (would be way rooting against him if we weren't winning big, but I'm happy to see him finally make it after such a rough ride.)

I actually tweeted that exact thing to Wilner. I'm usually not a Wilner hater, but he's SO f***ing wrong here. This isn't a guy who got away with crimes, this is a guy who got caught, and who served his time. He has had his punishment already.

Toronto Blue Jays organization:

On February 10, 2009, Bush was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for a player to be named later or cash considerations. The Blue Jays, well aware of his behavioral problems, put him on a "zero tolerance" policy. At a party on March 30, he reportedly threw a baseball at a woman's head and banged on her car window after accusing her of drawing markings on his face at a party in Dunedin, Florida. The Blue Jays released him the next day. He would be out of baseball for the entire 2009 season.

Man, I have a criminal record, so I guess Wilner thinks I am not worthy of being a part of society now.

For what?

Hitting people with your vehicle while drunk and beating people up with golf clubs is "a rough ride?" Ok.

He went to jail for that s***, he was convicted and he served his time. He's allowed to re-enter society. This isn't some ******* who used privilege to get out of punishment. He was punished for what he did.

Great game by Dickey. I am happy to give credit where credit is due, he pitched well, that wasn't just luck, that was a really well pitched game.

Got caught? He f***ing ran over an elderly man while he was drunk. Let's not act like he served some PED suspension here.

Got a DUI in 2010. Which is a criminal offence in Canada.

For the record, there was no accident, nobody got hurt. I was definitely over the legal limit though. I got pulled over and brethalyzed.

Wilner never said that... he just doesn't think redemption is an appropriate tag. Bush served time so it's okay to be fine with him contributing, but cheering for him *because* of his rough past doesn't follow.

Do we know anything about his childhood? Does he come from an abusive family? Do we really know that he didn't have a rough ride?

Buddy, I'm not minimizing what he did, I'm saying he went to court, they punished him (and it wasn't a slap on the wrist either). They decided his punishment, he should be allowed to have a life after jail.

Yes, and the justice system is based upon rehabilitation. At least, it's supposed to be. We all have a part to play in that.
