jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Desperate times call for desperate measures. Maybe we throw a hail marry and get fatcoww to make the GDT.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 The poster "Santos" called the Hill trade. aah. From what I remember it was leaked cause someone he knew (his wife?) worked at the daycare where his child was at, and they picked up their kid and said goodbyes.

jb22 Verified Member Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 lol true, but did we fail as much in high leverage situations? We could afford to be s***** with guys like Todd Redmond, Colt Hynes and Miguel Castro when the offense was clicking from the get go so people didn't take much notice. The waste of a year of service time on Osuna/Castro was probably a bigger story than their results at the time. We were 23-29 at the end of May last year, so it's not like the offense was winning games. People don't seem to realize this team was only really good for half a season.

People don't seem to realize this team was only really good for half a season. In April & May last year the Jays lead the majors in runs scored and were last in the AL in ERA... our offense is exactly why we won any games first half of last season... The defense & pitching improved at the deadline which pushed us over the edge, it wasn't Tulo's bat...

Governator Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 It's hard to blame the 9th batter in the 9th inning of a 1 run game when we had 2 on, none out in the 8th starting with Bautista and everyone failed.
