Ryan Goins (L) 2B Fans at Rogers Centre could be in for quite a pitchers' duel when Jose Quintana and the White Sox square off with Marco Estrada and the Blue Jays in their series finale on Wednesday.Quintana (2-1, 1.82 ERA) has been a model of consistency for Chicago. The 27-year-old left-hander has gone at least six innings in three of his four starts on the year and has yet to allow a home run. In his most recent outing against Texas, Quintana spun seven scoreless innings of four-hit ball in a 5-0 White Sox victory. Estrada (1-1, 2.50) started the season on the 15-day DL with a back injury, and he has had mixed results in the early going. The 32-year-old battled his command but gave up just one run in five innings in his last outing against Baltimore, picking up a no-decision. Three things to know about this game: • Estrada will be making his second career start against the White Sox. The veteran right-hander picked up a no-decision after throwing seven innings of three-run ball on May 27, 2015, against Chicago. • Blue Jays sluggers have had varying levels of success against Quintana. Third baseman Josh Donaldson is 3-for-9, while first baseman Edwin Encarnacion is 4-for-13. Outfielder Jose Bautista is 1-for-10. All three players have hit homers against Quintana. • White Sox catcher Hector Sanchez could make his 2016 debut on Wednesday. Chicago purchased the contract of Sanchez from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday after placing Kevan Smith on the 15-day disabled list with sacroiliac joint dysfunction. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2016_04_27_chamlb_tormlb_1#game=2016_04_27_chamlb_tormlb_1,game_state=Pregame LET'S GO BLUE JAYS! http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-J25_NRiH85o/UcJeYf44EMI/AAAAAAAAGQU/wx3sSDZfP58/s1600/Angry-Jays-Fan.gif

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 The season starts today boys! I'm expecting you to lead us to at least a 20 game winning streak. We're in good hands, fellas.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 The beginning of the season has felt so frustrating, yet the team is 10-12. You'd think we were 5-17.

BTS Community Moderator Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) Career wRC+ vs. LHP: Goins = 40 Barney = 92 It sucks that your everyday 2B is out, but at least do everything you can to replace the production. I don't think anyone can really complain about Goins getting most/all starts vs. RHP, but there's no reason for him to start over Barney with a lefty on the mound. Unless Barney is hurt. CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Gonna need a shutout from Marco here lol

Barney is double better than Goins, and no bald half Asian handsome 2B.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 No Barney just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Cheers to all of you and our Jays for a great game and hopefully a win!
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 If Barney is hurt too, then the entire team may as well be put into a china cabinet.
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Can we fire this idiot Gibbons? Goins over Barney against a lefty and Matt Dominguez batting sixth, yikes.
Statman Verified Member Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 So Pete Walker just went on record saying he is not concerned with the velocity drop with Storen. Sheer incompetence.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2016 Author Posted April 27, 2016 Glad I missed yesterday's game. Go Jays!!
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
