TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 What are you doing bud, totally off the handle? I can probably find hundreds of your posts just as "off the handle" It's why you get banned so often.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Atothe just hoooooooarding the thanks. Short, succinct disses are always the best. I thought the comeback after was better.

So my question is which pitcher is going to stand up and issue a similar challenge to these f***ing plug hitters? Aaron Sanchez 1.35 ERA 1-0 and two no decisions. The offense is ruining his Cy Young bid this year. I'm assuming there's no better motivator for Tulowitzki to start hitting .365 than a 170 pound teenage stringbean teammate calling him out in public.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Atothe just hoooooooarding the thanks. Short, succinct disses are always the best. Is this the most thanked post in forum history?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Is this the most thanked post in forum history? Holy f***, it has to be up there, lol.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Is this the most thanked post in forum history? Its up there but I think Governator's Jays Win meme of the dancer in blue jay's tighties when we won Game 5 against Tex may be the all time leader.

In fairness to Atothe, the board would have literally thanked Hitler for that post after Game 5. I don't remember if I was a part of that thread but I'm pretty sure it was the peak of this forum and likely the best sports moment most of us have/will ever experience.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Is this the most thanked post in forum history? I'm thinking leaffie might have that.

Statistically, there is a direct correlation between thank rates and abject elation. I'm so used to seeing Atothe post things similar to "shut up" that I didn't notice it right away...but it was well timed, appropriate and succinct.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 theres always some excuse that says that a team can't suck this bad. Then you have the 2013-2014 Red Sox This feels like those teams.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted April 23, 2016 Author Posted April 23, 2016 Yeah. Someone needs to crack some skulls in the room

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Looks like JD needs to call out the team again, including Jose
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Looks like JD needs to call out the team again, including Jose Yep, it's a necessity now.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Time for a players only meeting that doesn't involve a crying scrub
Statman Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Yep, it's a necessity now. It must be difficult for JD being so f***ing good and to deal with all the mediocrity around him making more money. Call these f***ers out.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Wait, are you guys actually serious? Do you really believe that one guy calling out the team is what's going to fix everything? I'm pretty sure they already know that they're playing like s***.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Wait, are you guys actually serious? Do you really believe that one guy calling out the team is what's going to fix everything? I'm pretty sure they already know that they're playing like s***. I'm pretty sure most of this forum is teenagers who have never worked at a job. No adult thinks that a group of 24 men need to be called out by their peer, and will then start performing better at work.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 This thread was originally started as a joke, based on my frustration with watching these guys flail at the plate, and based on the fact that when the pitchers struggled last year, JD called them out. Then it got crazy because some people were *******s. Now its just funny
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 But really, the team's 10-13 start isn't a mystery, and the problem isn't lack of effort. - Above average starting 2B hasn't played a single game, and the replacements have been replacement level. - Star high priced catcher has been ridiculously awful and might be hurt. - Star high priced shortstop has been just about average. - Star DH who is a top-10 hitter in the league has been a league average hitter. - bullpen has gone through a bad stretch to start the season There's nothing fundamentally wrong here - it comes down to disappointing play from four top players, and a slow start from the bullpen. That's a lot to overcome. None of these guys are playing poorly because they're not trying.
