intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 The golden knights? Holy f***, lol nhl. Couldn't think of anything slightly more irrelevant and generic? What, how did this come up?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 What, how did this come up? Read that Bautista invested in an NHL team, was curious and then found out that the Las Vegas team is called the Golden Knights. You must understand how much I despise hockey, and thus I pay nearly no attention to it.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 I'm sure people will still complain that it's sexist or something. But yeah, horrible name. The Las Vegas Attorneys would be a better name

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 They seem to have the lowest IQ out of all sports fans. MMA fans, bro. The primal act of two people beating the s*** out of one another really attracts a lot of the nearly braindead.

A large portion of the population considers Baseball a snooze fest.... As far as Sports fans IQ, MMA and Basketball are probably lower..

I'm not a huge fan myself, but there is a lot more in that sport than "beating up" one another. Those that understand the sport are extremely knowledgeable.

I'm not a huge fan myself, but there is a lot more in that sport than "beating up" one another. Those that understand the sport are extremely knowledgeable. There's plenty of technique involved but an ideal outcome if you're a fighter is if your opponent can't get up. It's absolutely about beating the s*** out of each other. It's also somehow the most boring sport I can think of given how exciting it SHOULD be. I can't believe this stuff would sell out arenas if not for the marketing. I've never seen a sport where so many viewers come away blue balled either. At least a basketball or football game is a basketball game or a football game. A huge event UFC match could be over after five minutes of watching two fighters who look like they could punch through brick walls wrestle around on the mat and twist each others' ankles until one gives out. I've seen more people say "that fight sucked" after a big fight than people who whine about a football game not being what they wanted to see.

I would render a guess that MOST fans want to see them go toe to toe punching, kicking and kneeing the s*** out of one another. However, as noted, the sport is extremely technical....and that's exactly what the fans hate about it.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Yup cause Brock Lesnar just screams technical beast about him, Duh !!! Lol Cerebral assassin that he is!!!

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Would you guys do Stroman for Eaton? 1 for 1 I would rather keep Stroman. I anticipate his counting stats to catch up to his peripherals starting next season, and I see the K/9 jumping significantly as well. He's still learning and I'm sure Walker, Atkins, etc will be mauling over his stats and looking to hone in on his most effective pitch usage (July and August) to try and repeat it in 2017. He could be a 4-5 WAR pitcher next season. I would much rather wait on Alford or throw money at a stop-gap to fill a corner OF spot until he's ready.

I love Stro but would trade him for Eaton in a second. Eaton has an additional year of control and will only make 28.4 Million the next 5 years. While Stroman is really good he's still a pitcher after all.
