2016 Blue Jays Homerun Contest

I will be hosting this year's Homerun Contest for those who are interested in playing. Big thanks to Dylan for doing this in the past (hopefully in the future again as well).

 

For those who are new, this is a simple*contest*that runs throughout the season. The goal of the game is to pick one player on the Jays that you think will hit a home*run during each game. You do not need to make a pick each game and you can join in whenever you want. The rules will stay similar this year. The season will still be divided into two halves and the top 10 members from each half will enter a three round playoffs. Please post any questions you may have. Good luck everyone.. I'll also throw in other bonuses on the weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

 

 

Contest Rules:

 

1. Pick a player on the Jay's starting lineup that you think will hit a*home*run at*ANY TIME*during each game.

2. You can only pick the same player*3*times during each week (Monday-Sunday)If you pick a correct player you will earn the corresponding points.

3. You can only pick one player and you must have your pick in before the first Blue Jays at bat.

4. If you are going away, you can PM LetTheBallFly your picks for the upcoming games

5. Streaks will win you bonus points (bonus points above).

6. Streaks must be in consecutive games, if you miss a game your streak is over.

7. Standings will be updated regularly and available on google docs (link will be posted above)

8. Player points will be doubled on Saturdaysand other bonus games will be conducted on the weekend.

9. The season will be divided into two sets at. 59 gamesand 60 games.

 

Playoffs:

 

Top 10 members from the first half, and 10 members from the second half clinch a spot in the playoffs

- The two top members with the most OVERALL points will receive a bye to the 2nd playoff round.

- Playoff ties go to the member with the most overall points during the season.

- It is important for those who make playoffs in the first half to increase overall points during the second half.
