Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I really liked Boxy's suggestion for trading Dickey for whatever, and then trading for Trevor May in a separate trade. I wish we could do that. I think you have to take the sure 200 innings with Dickey, especially with a deep playoff run expected.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 24, 2016 Author Posted March 24, 2016 Who is this on the radio with Wilner?!?!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 24, 2016 Author Posted March 24, 2016 And there's that HR off Dickey At least no one was on Tie game 4-4
KinofChaos Verified Member Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Gonna be another year of frustration watching dickey pitch.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I just don't understand why Dickey can't figure out how to get that amazing SwStr% from his Cy Young year back? It's not like his skills are really deteriorating since he's a knuckle baller.

It's always nice to have that extra versatility on the bench.

He's also lost some velo which at his age is expected.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Wilner and his cohost arguing over whether Sanchez (catcher not pitcher) needs to be able to hit or not. Is it Barker? I'm not listening but I find that he tends to miss Wilner's points sometimes or is generally a day or two behind the news.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Dickey “I got a lot of swings and misses against a team that’s got a good approach against the pitch. Lot of things to be happy about today." Setting the bar low I see. Would be nice to see him show up for April and May this year.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Interesting comments by Dickey. Certainly won't be going to the White Sox next year lol. "I'm not going to be holding people hostage for a million dollars here or there," Dickey said. "If you play above what your contract dictates that you will make, then you'll have a job for a long time. That was one of the first things Tim Wakefield told me. He said, 'Always outperform your contract and you'll always be attractive.' And for me, it's not necessarily about the money at this point. It's about the right fit, and how close to home I'd be, and are there direct flights, and what is the clubhouse policy for kids, all that stuff." http://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/991052
