It looks like Gibby really likes Andy Burns

He honestly should be on this team other than Barney. Plays all infield positions, has a better bat and defense is good enough

Burns only projects as a slightly better bat (and still pretty bad) and Barney's defense is elite.

In all honestly though... I can see that bringing the crew to all the visiting parks in ST might not be worth it. But why not at least broadcast all the games in Dunedin... Wouldn't Jays get better ratings than darts and poker, and would it really cost them that much??? Buck and Tabby are already down there, the cameras are all there. WTF???

Will be interesting to see how many games get put on Sportsnet One. A channel a lot of people don't have because its an extra package coat and a lot more people don't even have access to it.

This is why the Raptors ratings are in the toilet. They will have the Buffalo Sabres playing the Columbus Blue Jackets on there main network and the Raptors on SN1.

Barney's defense is only elite if you classify Kawasaki's defense as elite. Cause they look pretty darn similar to me.

Barney's 2012 and 2013 are two of the best defensive seasons on record from a 2B. When Kawasaki does something like that, get back to me.

Funny thing is Jays ST games get a lot more viewers than the 2nd place Raptors regular season games. Since its an afternoon weekday game you might not get much more than 100,000 but you'd still think it would cover the production costs. Hell, Toronto FC gets like 50,000 viewers/game.

Matt Boyd has Kevin Pillar picked off at 1B but he beats throw to 2B. Boyd then picks Pillar off at 2B but botches throw to 3B, run scores

that took a few reads

Yeah the one benefit of the two 1B alignment in the roster is it gives the Jays capable bats in case Edwin misses time. Don't rush him back. Make sure he's 100%.

I wish one of them could play a passable corner outfield

Lots of base runners off Dickey today

I really liked Boxy's suggestion for trading Dickey for whatever, and then trading for Trevor May in a separate trade. I wish we could do that.

And just because they're weak hits didn't make it any easier to stomach. Add in a few walks, a HBP and a well-timed HR or bases clearing double and you get a classic Dickey blow up in no time.

(All this said, he HAS been quite decent the last two years, I know. He's just hard to watch sometimes and I'd love to have someone better that we have to go after Stroman in the post season)
