I like both... I have to agree that chives in the creamy is a really big YES! Not a fan of fruit in my slaw though.

when in the deep south, try some slaw at family owned restaurants. the old recipes are usually the best. chain stuff is so full of chemicals that you really don't want to know about.

I'm not usually a fan of fruit in salad either but the tartness and sweetness add a nice little wrinkle that most people can't even tell comes from the apple.

Cabbage and onions are two of the best vegetables imo. Onions are king. Cabbage is like lettuce's hot mom. I'll take a good slaw over any other salad every single time.

I love a good creamy coleslaw, but it's really unhealthy so I almost never eat it.

Yeah, I eat it on the weekends in the summer time mostly, so not too often. I don't deny myself of the mouth pleasure altogether, though.

A lot of people seem to be either oil/vinegar or creamy but not both. I've just never tried an oil/vinegar slaw where I wouldn't have preferred a creamy one in its place. Best slaw from a chain restaurant has to be Earls imo. I really want to find out what they put in the dressing, tastes almost like buttermilk and then they throw some fresh chives in that bitch. When I make slaw at home, I'm going green cabbage (red makes the dressing look like pepto bismol after a few days) carrot, onion, radish, green apple and some celery seed is really nice too.

f*** I'm really hungry. Plus I'm rambling due to lack of sleep.

I like a lighter slaw; oil and vinegar instead of mayo.

Spicing it up a bit is good too. Some lime, dijon, hot pepper or chili powder, maybe garlic.

I'm pretty sure KFC slaw is just a really s***** creamy slaw. It's bad.

Anyone know if Jay Bruce likes cole slaw?

Everyone likes coleslaw.

Everyone except the Bill James of pavement

KFC macaroni salad > KFC cole slaw

It's not even close.

The potato salad and the macaroni salad have the exact same dressing and this annoys me for some reason.

Plus, what NJH said. If I'm gonna eat artery clogging garbage, I'm doing it right.

KFC's potato salad and cole slaw suck, and I like the latter usually. Their macaroni salad is meh. I miss having biscuits on the side like in the states.
