rydermike Verified Member Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Given we already paid a $1 million buyout to him this year, he's probably our second highest paid middle infielder after Tulo. I'm assuming Goins, Barney, and Travis are all on <$1M dealsBarney signed a major league deal for 1.05 mil Not sure maybe I'm missing something, but 100k to me is a lot less than 1.05 mil. So No he will not make more than Barney. I'm adding his $1 million buyout we paid from declining his option, so he get $1.1M in total in 2016 from us. Basically started as a joke that we paid him more to not be our MIF than we are paying any of our other MIFs (besides Tulo)
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Mouser is the franchise record holder for worst season ever, in terms of fWAR. Maybe we'll see his name on the urinals one day? The level of piss-ellence.

intrigid Verified Member Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 speaking of which, have they fixed the sprinklers in Dunedin, so maybe Saunders makes it to the first of April? I seem to remember Gibbons or someone else saying they wouldn't use that field anymore.

But the Jays had wicked good luck the rest of the year regarding injuries outside of Travis. Two role players out for the year and a top pitcher back in time for a playoff drive with a well-rested arm. If that was the extent of the Jays injuries for 2016 that's not so bad.
