Does it really matter, there's only 2 guys that signed from Asia? All the guys signed in the J2 and MILB drafts of the past have green flags, I feel all the MLB players in there is just more clutter, no?

- The draft will begin Sunday, February 28th at 9 AM. We'll be using 12-hour windows as usual.

- We're going to be using the Fantrax draft room.

- Because we're using the draft room, you'll have to make room on your roster before the start of the draft.

- You can pick anyone who is affiliated with an MLB team and who has not yet played an MLB game.

- Trades should be allowed mid-draft. We think commishes can change pick order during the draft. We'll find out how well this works when the time comes.

This is a new player draft. Not slightly used draft. Players defiled by an MLB club shouldn’t be available.

 

Or if they are picked they surely shouldn’t be allowed to be manually moved to the minors if they don’t have a green flag.

Teams can also keep a maximum of 12 players on their minor league roster. Owners can move players freely between their farm and MLB rosters. In Fantrax, players that aren't on a 26-man roster are identified with a green flag. Players without a green flag (i.e. players on a 26-man roster in MLB) are allowed on minor league rosters, however, Fantrax will not allow a player to be moved from an owner's MLB roster to their farm if they don't have a green flag (i.e. the player is on an MLB roster in real life). Commisioners will only act on requests to move a player to an owner's farm if an owner acquires a player via trade who a) has no green flag, and was on his previous owner's farm at the time of the trade.

 

Prospects may be kept on an MiLB roster until the following MLB conditions are met:

 

Hitters: 1000 career PA

 

Pitchers: 50 career X [where X = GS + 0.5(relief appearances)]

 

Once a prospect has crossed one of these thresholds, he must be promoted to the MLB roster prior to the start of the NPD (see section 2). If a player has exceed this threshold and is not removed from the owner's farm before the start of the NPD, he will be removed from the owner's roster and be made available in the draft.
