Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 So, refresh my memory please. 26/15 by 9 am the 28th? IL count? The Draft room configuration's, will or will not let you drop players during the draft? Thanks!

We are not sure yet if drops are allowed during the draft, you can either take the risk, make your drops now, or accept my offer for your 1st round pick.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 What time can I make my first pick?

Roster limits have been in place all offseason, and we’re keeping the unlimited IL.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 Am I able to keep Teheran and Brebbia in the minors since they have a green flag, even though they're over the threshold? The rules don't make that clear.

The rules don't make that clear. Prospects may be kept on an MiLB roster until the following MLB conditions are met: Hitters: 1000 career PA Pitchers: 50 career X [where X = GS + 0.5(relief appearances)] Once a prospect has crossed one of these thresholds, he must be promoted to the MLB roster prior to the start of the NPD (see section 3). If a player has exceed this threshold and is not removed from the owner's farm before the start of the NPD, he will be removed from the owner's roster and be made available in the draft.

Why I'm asking is because the guys have green flags at the start of the NPD. I'm fine with that rule being the case, but I think the intent is for guys without the green flags not to be left down forever. That's why I want clarity on it.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 My understanding is any player on the farm, green flag or not, that exceeds the thresholds must be promoted or cut prior to the NPD. BTS will need to clarify.

Ok, let me rephrase my question. I apologize for using the term cut down. Do we have to be at 26/15 when the draft starts? What happens if we are not? Does IL count towards the 26 IF, IF, that is the case prior to the draft.. That is what I am not clear on. I understand if we were not having a draft, or after the draft the 26 applies for April 1. Thanks!

If guys are on your IL, leave em there... you don't have to cutdown for anything but space for draft picks.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Great, thanks!! You're welcome... your roster wouldn't need any specific work until prior to the season begins.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 If guys are on your IL, leave em there... you don't have to cutdown for anything but space for draft picks. One thing that isn't clear is that the draft room will let you make adds if you have someone with no red flag on your IL. As it shouldn't.

BTS Community Moderator Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Nah. I've never seen that. Regular adds and lineup changes are blocked if you have someone on your IL with no red flag. Would be surprised if you can draft.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Regular adds and lineup changes are blocked if you have someone on your IL with no red flag. Would be surprised if you can draft. You can just pause it, and manually do it. I know, pain in the ass.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 You can just pause it, and manually do it. I know, pain in the ass. There's no reason to do to that. Ideally teams wouldn't be able to draft if they have guys on the IL without red flags, just like the can't make other roster moves.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Last minute... I'll take a 4th next year for these picks... 4-6 (66), 4-16 (76), 4-20 (80), 5-20 (100), 6-20 (120)
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 I am so ready for a full season of dynasty baseball. Draft at this time is a nice segue into the season.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Oh s***, the draft started... I can't make a drop, can 1 of you guys drop Yairo Munoz for me, or can I, I thought we starting tomorrow.

Nothing is greyed out or anything, as TCA says.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Nevermind, I just tried to test it out making a non-commish add and was told I could neither make claims nor drops once the draft has started. Sorry Spanky, but everyone had ample warning. Hoisted by your own petard.

BTS Community Moderator Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Are we going to allow commishes to do drops to facilitate DL moves like the DDL is allowing? I'm not sure what DDL is doing, so I don't really know what you mean. I can see commish intervention if a guy loses his DL spot mid-draft and it causes problems.
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Maybe it’s an old message? And just adds aren’t allowed. I see Speedy dropped Lauer. I dropped Lauer because he exceeded 50 starts and shouldn't have been on the farm.
