I kinda like it, but we need to make it clear once and for all. You get 12 minor league slots, and in the offseason cutdown, 20 major league slots. Two of those 32 offseason slots are flexible. It's really not that difficult.

The only thing I think would be worth changing would be to only enforce minor league size at the cutdowns. Hell, if we did that, we could even decide to move to just the one offseason cutdown.

I like the flexibility of the offseason cutdown, but the in-season limits need to be adjusted. Between the offseason cut and midseason cut you're supposed to have the prospect limit that you chose in the offseason cut, but that's not feasible to track.

I think we should just eliminate limits on prospects outside of the cuts:

offseason: cut down 32 total players, of which 10-14 can be MiLB players

draft: cut down to 12 MiLB players

no limits at any other point in the season

Well it’s confusing because you’re like “you can have 12, except when you keep 14, but then you have to cut down to 12 before milb draft. We all have things (and multiple leagues) going on with in our lives and so once it gets explained, give it some months and you’ll get the same question again.

Should just be hard 12 or hard 14. If you want roster flexibility of 2 either way, you should be able to keep the 14 through the next season

It's not really that hard of a concept.

Maybe not but just saying you’ll still get this question all the time. Plus I have a horse in this race and want to keep 14 slots next year

Do we even need a cutdown at the MiLB draft? It increases the player pool a little I suppose, but most guys being selected are new draftees or previously unowned under the radar guys anyway, and the offseason cutdown would deal with the rest.

I think we should have everyone leave the draft with a max 12 prospects - if we don't we'll have people hoarding picks and rostering 20+ prospects until the winter cut.

I knew that already but for next year I’m lobbying

Is that really a bad thing though? I don't see much of a downside.

Lobbying what exactly? You can choose to keep 14 spects going into the season.

Thanks tips. But then you need to cut it back to 12 by the milb draft

I’m staunchly opposed to sifting through 25 shitbags when talking trade with people.

The people with 25 shitbags probably aren't the ones who will be buying good players from you, they'll be selling. They'll have to sort through your s***.

I always thought the rule was to give owners selling at the deadline the opportunity to add a couple of prospects to their farm when selling MLB assets. Tough to get too interested in dumping one of the guys you kept through the cut or just drafted two weeks ago, thus making it less appealing to deal your older players to contending teams.

Promoted Franklin Perez to an open N/A spot. See how he does over the next while.

Will only be using picks 5 and 11.

Picks 89, 94, 105 available real cheap.

I've indicated in red picks that are set to evaporate tomorrow at midnight barring further instruction (or instruction that I've missed). The following people should be particularly concerned:

Littlemoon

Chubs

Connorp

Ling34

Also, Dinger is set to end the draft with 11 prospects. Someone trade that man a pick.
