Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Easy Veto here Pretty clear there's no collusion here. That's a very hefty price to pay though.
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 What's the issue here, gents? #10 MLB prospect by MLB Pipeline + 1st round pick for droppable trash Obvious collusion going on here

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 #10 MLB prospect by MLB Pipeline + 1st round pick for droppable trash Obvious collusion going on here Yes, because if I'm colluding with anyone, it would be Jim.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Scherzer is on the verge of being dealt. Get yer bids in! And by verge, I mean like in 5 min *assuming a deal is worked out

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 i don't care that Buxton is struggling right now... my goal is to begin an ascent to the BORED pinnacle in 2019.... figure by that time Buxton will start to reach his potential (or not)

Buxton is risky but the ceiling is higher than Tucker's.
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 These guys do this every single trade. cause every trade in these board leagues is f***ing awful now
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 cause every trade in these board leagues is f***ing awful now Examples?
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Examples? Yu Darvish for Mitch Keller
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Yu Darvish for Mitch Keller Haha. Well... It was actually Mitch Keller, 1st round pick and Chad Kuhl. But yeah, I liked that for me. I think Keller is going to be really good though.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 in hindsight Tucker for Buxton straight up probably gets it done..... but counting my expected graduates and drops from my prospect list, i have a surplus of picks so a bit of a careless overpay as a result

However, sometimes it's better to overpay a little and be sure you get the guy you want, rather than regret it for years imo.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 holy s*** i offered up more for Otani (Wacha and a 1st)..... WTF You do know that Scherzer is like, twice as good as Wacha?
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 You do know that Scherzer is like, twice as good as Wacha? That's being generous. It's not even close.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 You do know that Scherzer is like, twice as good as Wacha? Scherzer is almost 34, Wacha is 26 When Wacha hits his peak, Scherzer will be out of baseball
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Scherzer is almost 34, Wacha is 26 He literally just turned 33. He isn't 34 until next July 27th. Hell, next season is his age 33 season. Most importantly, he hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. It's inevitable, but hopefully not for a few more seasons.
