I suggest his opponent gets to choose one of PIWB's remaining starters, and PWIB has to sit him out, and miss his start.

Unless there's a way for a commissioner to just remove those stats.

I really like the message it sends, but I wonder if it might have been better to wait and see if it ended up affecting the matchup before penalizing such a high pick.

I think it's too severe of a penalty. It's tougher in Yahoo than FanTrax to know who is owned, and we don't always have access to the spreadsheets at work, or on the phone etc. I think it's an easy mistake to do. And it's not like Senzatella was a top prospect.

 

At least make it a second round pick. If he doesn't own one, give him a chance to trade for one.

Yeah kind of seems a bit harsh. Risks having him rage quit the league.

 

I agree that simply sitting a starter is not enough - adding an owned prospect and collecting their stats brings the reputation of the league into disrepute and there needs to be a deterrent.

 

However, adding an owned prospect is an easy mistake to make. I did it in the DDL last week (of course, I noticed right away and dropped the guy).

 

I think you should decrease the penalty pick a bit. But it's none of my business.

I think the penalty is too light. I think an NCAA style punishment of a 3 year post season ban should be a just and fitting.

I too agree that a first is too harsh... he had him on his roster since the 2nd though, he still should've made sure he wasn't owned. On 2nd thought, is he still in Asia? He left on the 23rd of March right, and said he was going for 6/8 weeks, so yeah, he's overseas with sketchy internet, I believe this is far too harsh.
